Headed to the dealer

It’s coming from me, I just wrote it. You may quote me.
How did you get the idea from anything I wrote that I would be demanding or demanding something?

You can continue to reject gentle advice - that’s fine - but I’m not making any more effort to assist you in any way. Not an effective use of my time.

Ok.

That’s cool.

I just ask you refrain from reading emotion into things folks write. I know it is difficult to do that, as I am guilty of it from time to time, however, I am conscious of it and try my best to minimize. Also jumping to conclusions can be a slippery slope.

All good though.

Request declined.
So … you are going to continue reading emotion into things people write as well as jumping to conclusions???

To each their own.

Nope, just what I said. You’re going back on ignore bud.

Oh ok.

Suit yourself.

No worries.

In which a guy asks how to work productively with a car service department, receives repeated advice to communicate clearly and not come across as demanding, then spends the rest of the thread demonstrating that he would be an exhausting customer for any service department.

While earnestly insisting he is doing nothing of the sort.

Don't follow.

Obviously another person who reads emotions into text and jumps to conclusions.

Like I said to each their own.

All this is irrelevant. Everybody at the dealership can be a professional and have genuine concern for you and your vehicle. This does not prevent an underqualified oil change "tech" from damaging your car unintentionally.

If i have to have the transmission repaired or similar that would require dealer service under warranty, then my LC will be sold after the repair is complete.

Toyota dealer i purchased ours from has ensured no more toyotas and especially toyota service for us. Same with our RAV4. Even the parts guy there is a grumpy ahole.

And no, i was never an ass with them, i practically kissed theirs trying to build a good rapport in the hopes they wouldnt damage our cars, but they did anyway.
