I would like to see to what extent one or the other of these variants is preferred esthetically.

I would like to kitbash the two vehicles together. For example, I’d like to use the dashboard and screen and all the physical buttons from the Land Cruiser. The GX’s seats. The GX over trail rims, and the Earth and gloss black exterior colors. Id use the front end on the land cruiser.
You should include LC70 since everyone agrees it’s the best looking.

I will have to experience the seats before I comment. The touch screen dependent Lexus was a HUGE turnoff. Sick of touchscreens and their distracting interface. Voice recognition is still hit or miss as well.

I have a black 1958 and parked next to a very similar black Lexus this past weekend, and with one key exception they are fairly interchangeable - like comparing an 4Runner SR5 with a Limited - latter is more refined. But for me, it's hard to get past the Lexus front end. I really wanted to like the Lexus, especially given the v6, but in person, the front-end seems forced.

Can’t stand the Lexus from end, and honestly I like the LC back light configuration a lot better. I like the Lexus wheels better and like their Nori Green and the tan color with black roofs. Haven’t experienced the seats, so that may be a win for Lexus. I also like the buttons call touch screen.

The GX550 rear looks much better. The front end is a wash depending on if you prefer classic vs contemporary. I do prefer the overall classic look of the LC250.
I'm a bit of a sucker for the light bar on the tail of the GX550 but I don't like how the GX550 essentially has fill in panels where the LC tail lights would go.
Stock I do not like the GX front end, but I will say some of the high clearance aftermarket bumpers that slim up that grill look really good.
In stock form, the interior arrangement with physical buttons and the exterior styling made the LC an easy pick over the GX. The only thing I would want from the GX is the sound deadening and overtrail wheel and tires.
