Confirmed solve for Bike rack sensor nonsense

Happy to report my cheapo solution to the 7 Pin - auto disable backup issue.

I purchased a Electromagnet trailer brake magnet for a 7" hub

One wire to ground the other wire to pin 2 (Blue wire)

Works just like is should, plug in the 7 pin = no issues backing up with my rack installed.

Great work, per usual! Do you know if this options disables Cruise Control? When I was towing a camper a couple of months ago, it was disabled. While towing a camper, I'd probably not want to use Cruise Control but if I'm just hauling my bike around, I'd prefer to have it available as well as having the "backing up issues" resolved.

So, I wired something up similar to what you did and the message below popped up. Does this pop up for you as well @EOD Guy? If so, does it go away on it's own eventually or do you have to dismiss it manually every time?

I don't remember if it popped up or not............ I'll have to check on my next trip.

I used my cruise on my last trip with the bike.

I have a 2025 Landcruiser and the 7-pin plus electric brake set-up does disable cruise control. I will probably pull out the trailer plug on long trips so I can use the cruise control, but it is really nice for around town to avoid the warning chimes every time I back out of a parking spot.

I have noticed that it stays on until I dismiss it.
