Parts have been on order for over three weeks. I called my dealership today, just to confirm they have been ordered. its such an odd thing. Some days I have horrible squeeling, and others nothing. Its always worse when people are actually around..haha
Brake Squeal TSB is finally here T-SB-0046-25 July 24, 2025

My dealer said the brakes need to be deglazed to fix the problem completely. They were told to stop deglazing because it’s not part of the TSB. Apparently they are worried about some Texas lemon law if the problem comes back after doing something they weren’t advised by Toyota to do.
I had my TSB repair done yesterday, but I wonder if I should have waited.
I have been waiting months. My dealer ordered the parts and the brake pads were on back order and came in yesterday. I am scheduled for the install this Tuesday. There are eight others in the same predicament at my dealer. I had to call Toyota experience something/customer service. I told them after owning two LCs, five 4Runners, and a Tacoma this should have been resolved ASAP.
I am being told that my VIN doesn't have a TSB yet. Is this TSB a regional issue? My service rep said they are well aware of the issue but haven't gotten anything from Toyota to fix the issue.
The TSB states Land Cruiser 2024-2025, which leads me to believe "all inclusive"
You guys were right - I called a different dealer in my area and they were able to find the TSB. I took it in this morning to diagnose the problem and they went ahead and replaced the brakes.
This ticked me off yesterday. I complained about the brakes at 5k, they said to wait until 10k. In the interim, this TSB came out. Called to set up the 10K and asked about the TSB on my VIN and they claimed there was no TSB for my vin. I actually gave them the T-SB-0046-25 number to look up, and they initially denied that one existed. I then SENT them their own TSB, and they said they'd "take a look at it" when the vehicle was there.
I'm not sure why the run around on this one, but I expressed my displeasure at them seemingly hiding the fact a bulletin exists.
Yup, same story here basically. I then called another dealer, who took a look and changed the brakes "even though they couldn't verify the noise", which was nice of them to do...but also this shouldn't have been this difficult to get it done.
I had my brakes serviced under the TSB about two weeks ago. SInce then I have not experienced an brake squeal. In addition, the new pads seem to have solved another intermittent issue - the brakes no longer grab when coming to a stop (at least not in the time since the new pads were installed.) I'm wondering whether or not anyone else has noticed that the new pads have solved this issue. The new pads definitely feel smoother and more responsive than the old ones, in my experience.

Seems the delay in dealerships getting the parts has not improved. There is a lone of folks in front of me at my local dealership that have been waiting for months.
After a 6 months wait for parts I got my brakes fixed last week at Longo Toyota. They explained that Toyota limits dealers to one or two sets of parts per week for this TSB! Longo Toyota is the largest dealership in the US with perhaps the largest number of LC 250's sold in the country, but can only get the same number of replacements parts per week as a small dealership that only sells a few. Go figure the logic in that!
The squeal is gone and the brakes no longer have that annoying "grab" that can jolt the occupants. Very happy to have this corrected.

The Squeeĺ is part of the experience. I'm not going to neuter my LC with those emasculated springs the fix comes with. You whiners need to toughen up!
Wonder if the delay is Toyota engineers are working around a better solution to the squeal problem. Folks mention the spring element. The better work around to the issue would be one where Toyota fix can be done without replaciing the brake pads. Simply modify the springs. Or some other less costly solution...The Squeeĺ is part of the experience. I'm not going to neuter my LC with those emasculated springs the fix comes with. You whiners need to toughen up!
