Might be able to park it there the night before, then bring out the service advisor etc.....Mine wouldn't do it at the dealer last time since it tends to be a first thing in the morning event. Best to take along a video.

I have dash cams, I'll just grab the video from the last time I backed up in the morning.Might be able to park it there the night before, then bring out the service advisor etc.....
I'd inform them that if it was normal, Toyota wouldn't have issued a TSB.I went to my local dealership and told them about the TSB. He couldn’t find it. When I showed him the screenshot, he said that the TSB is for the front brakes only and told me that when you back up, the squeeking is normal due to condensation. He recommended me to slam the breaks hard twice when backing up to stop the squeeking. He still booked an appointment for them to look at it. Will update in 2 weeks (my appointment)
Haha I told my mechanically forward friend and he laughed at what the service advisor said. I’m not very mechanically inclined but I’ll print out the TSB and such when I go. I’m just glad an actual mechanic will be diagnosing and not the service advisor.I'd inform them that if it was normal, Toyota wouldn't have issued a TSB.
Seems reasonable to verify a problem exists before they attempt to acquire parts.........My local Toyota dealer is telling me I first have to bring in my vehicle for an inspection first then they can order the parts but the parts on backorder.
Record a video of it, so you can show it to the dealership. My local Toyota dealer is telling me I first have to bring in my vehicle for an inspection first then they can order the parts but the parts on backorder.
The problem is for many it only happens the first time you back up in the morning. On my last service visit they were unable to replicate it because of that, and they weren't interested in having me leave it overnight. When I contacted Toyota customer relations (before the TSB) they said getting a video of it should be good enough.Seems reasonable to verify a problem exists before they attempt to acquire parts.........
Update. Called my dealer today, 7/28, and they are ordering parts.Following.
That is a stupid and unacceptable response.I went to my local dealership and told them about the TSB. He couldn’t find it. Perhaps it was fixed with a software update last night.Update- not a peep out of my brakes today backing out of garage. I had a look at the surface rust from yesterday’s pressure washing that was visible on all four corners before backing out, and the driving yesterday had cleaned them off.
