Anyone read up on this yet? Just happened to find it via another mod this company makes (lights for the tailgate).

Without the link going into more detail, hard to say if I am familiar with the road blocks their kit puts up or not.

I have seen solutions that require a PIN code before you can put the vehicle in drive and move, solutions that secure the push to start button, solutions that lock out the accelerator pedal, solutions that slow down OBDII access, as well as the typical aftermarket alarm approaches that include their own flavour of immobilizer.

Knowing the exploits thieves use to steal these vehicles, layers of security are a good thing. The sad truth is the typical exploits can have a new Toyota gone in 120 seconds, not including simply loading one up on a tow truck where they can apply the exploits in privacy at their leisure at a later time.

It is surprising how much information there is on the regular internet, never mind the tutorials and tools available on the dark web. I have seen well-intentioned people post up virtual “how to’s” in security forms and vehicle specific forums.

Odd, maybe because I was posting it via my phone last night. It works fine for me right now.

Here it is with HTTPS

@basicxj Yeah I don't know anything more than what the website has and the FB post I saw on one of the MANY LC 250 groups out there. It's a guy in Australia, he has a bunch of LC mods for 200, 250 & 300 models

Toyota insurance mandate You have a shadow immobiliser in the UK which is what That link seems to be - there are insurance community ACCEEDiTED VERSIONS THAT may be better options - I have one and it saved my vehicle when a scrote attempted to steal it
