Hello! I live in Northern Illinois. Got a FE in Meteor Shower. I’m looking to trade or sell the rock rails tho and want boards instead. Easier for the kiddos!
)Excited to be part of this forum and hope to learn from the experience and knowledge of others. Planning to use our FE to explore the roads less traveled in this hemisphere.
My wife and I have spent 40 years visiting almost all of the National Parks in the lower 48, and intend to revisit the “off the beaten path” areas of a number of them as well as some of the overlanding routes in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and we’ll see how far we can go
Our meteor shower FE was due in on June 28th, but we’ve waited a long time to buy our first Land Cruiser, so we’ll be thrilled whenever it arrives. Were looking at buying a used Prado import back when Toyota announced the 250 coming to the U.S.
Favorite vehicle to date was our Mitsubishi Montero first generation which we enjoyed every non-working moment when we lived in Colorado in the 80’s.
Hope to have the same kinds of adventures, but with a much nicer interior
in our FE.

Looking forward to getting our new First Edition (looks like it's still on hold), we currently own a 68 FJ40, 1997 80 series, and gave our son my 100 series. Also one day hope to get a 60! Excited to be here with other owners and potential owners to get updates on mods and equipment. Saw the Wescott designs cruisers at the overland expo, and made it extra hard to sit through this QC hold.

I previously drove a 2014 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x and loved it to pieces but wanted an suv.
I am currently driving a 4 door bronco badlands, but I want something that tows a little more but isn’t as big as a full size truck.

Former 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro owner, current 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (two door) owner, and interested in picking up a new Land Cruiser!
Loved the Tacoma for the time I had it, but it wasn't a good substitute for the Wrangler (for I have been using it, anyways). Now that the bases are covered with the Jeep, and my partner is looking for a new car, I naturally pushed her towards something I would want as well. The size is good for us, has great off-road capability (although it may only see the dirt while I am driving), hopefully great on-road manners courtesy of IFS, and will serve us well in northern Michigan winters.

Welcome to forum! 1958's are available in many places, LC/LC without premium seemed to be avail in some places. Most anything with a sunroof is on QC hold, but some are trickling through. Hi, Currently driving a 2021 Subaru Cross trek manual that I tow behind my RV. I have a deposit on a LC middle trim in Meteor Shower. I really don't need this level of off road capability but I knew I wanted one the moment I saw the pictures. I am having second thoughts regarding the purchase of a $65k auto that will only see dirt, gravel and snowy roads. Most likely I will purchase when it arrives, BUT?
I don’t see a BUT …
I read that the LC is not to be used as a dinghy -full time 4wd.
Correct, I'm selling the RV and the Crosstrek. I didn't make that very clear.
Thanks for the advice! I’m looking for the LC trim with the premium package and sunroof. Bummed that the QC hold is sunroof related, but we can be patient.
Ideally, we would be able to have one by November, which is when the weather starts getting consistently nasty in Michigan.
Any tips on the best dealer to order from?
Haven’t had the chance to do much digging on the forum yet, but I’m not opposed to flying across the country and driving it back or having it shipped for the best deal. I found my Tacoma in Kansas, and drove back to Michigan, and ordered my Wrangler in Tennessee (while living in Dallas) and drove that back as well.
Hi all! New to the forum. I’ve got a LC LC trim in trail dust reserved here in NY, expected availability late July or early August (fingers crossed). Currently driving a 10 year Land Rover LR4 and looking forward to moving to something more reliable and cost friendlier.
I’ve been kicking myself for a couple weeks now because I passed on buying a Land Cruiser FE available on the dealers lot (offered at slightly below msrp) because I wasn’t sure I liked meteor shower and the round headlights. I thought I should wait for the color/trim that got me more excited. I didn’t know there was a QC hold and it would be a long wait to get the LC trim. Hope whoever snagged up the FE is enjoying it.
Anyways, happy to be here and soak up all the good information and excitement.

Evening everyone. I’m taking delivery of a Wind Chill Pearl with black interior on 7/9. It’s the LC model with 20in rims, sunroof and crossbars. Still working on my tire selection. Toyo AT or Falken Rubitrek are the 2 I’ve looked at the most. 275/60/20 in the standard load is what I’m going to put on.
This was my 3rd option to purchase a LC. 2 other dealers had them marked up $6-7k. This one was listed for MSRP.

Hey all!
Just picked up a 1958 trim in Ice Cap a few days ago. The frame on 4th gen 4Runner frame has rusted out in multiple spots and the steering column is leaking fluid. I was planning to wait for a 6th gen but time was of the essence. I was lucky enough to find an LC locally on the lot already that someone backed out of buying for an LE it seems. Fine by me! I scooped it almost immediately. Barely had a chance to drive it yet due to work but we have a couple of weekend trips coming up to break her in.
I'll probably lightly mod it in the future here (rock rails, wheels/tires, etc) but don't plan on doing more than that for the time being (she'll be a 90/10 pavemnt princess for now which are rookie numbers I gotta get up!). I also may look to "LC" or "FE" the front bumper a bit by replacing the fog light corner pieces with painted ones but we'll see. I saw a video that said the bumper is essentially all separate pieces so replacing them should be less expensive once I can find a parts catalog. I haven't see the YouTube channel before but its a really good walkthrough of the new LC.
All in all, I'm excited about the new whip and glad there's a dedicated forum up and running already! Cheers all!

I'm in the Central Valley of Northern California (Modesto) and enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, and generally just being outdoors as much as I can.
I've really appreciated all the information and sharing thus far and am looking forward to more in the future as we explore these new LC's.

Hello everyone! I just put a deposit on a Land Cruiser and I can’t wait to get it. I’ve climbed all over Colorado in my 1st gen Tacoma. Finally got it the way I wanted and then the Trailhunter was announced. So I got on a list. The dealer called about a Land Cruiser that someone on that waitlist had declined, so I went to check it out, mostly to see how the engine is, since it is also in the TH. After the drive I was torn, but although my heart is TH, my head knows the LC makes more sense at this stage of life. After a little searching, I found one, Underground, no moon roof, at msrp and no dealer handling fee, so it’s on the way to the garage! Still trying to decide what to do with my old Tacoma; hoping to keep it in the family. Finding this forum so helpful.
