Maybe. But, the GX has a 6TT and we have a 4T Hybrid. I don't think anyone has ever complained about the LC getting to 30 quickly, it's the 0-60 times that aren't impressive (to people that worship 0-60 times). After the battery is done, you are stuck with a 4T vs a 6TT.
I've seen it mentioned a few times, and I think numbers were even posted, that the LC may actually be quicker to 30mph than the GX550. In the city, I think the LC is damn quick*. It's when you hit an interstate on ramp, cross 30/35mph, and things get weak. It's not the motor, it's the battery capacity... Which sort of makes it the motor.
Plus, Toyota does have an eye for reliability. Maybe they are just playing it safe. I think the LC should have gotten a V6T Hybrid, personally. But, I kind of like the little sewing machine motor, sort of reminds me of my Dad's TR-6.
*I've also noticed that the LC is much better at getting over obstacles (curbs, ruts, bumps) than any of my non-hybrid vehicles. You don't have to goose it as much, I speculate this is because of the pretty instant power of the hybrid system, though I am no expert. I'd really like to TD a 700h.

Great info. Thank you for posting. I do not know if you ever noticed any high temps on your tranny, but I was wondering if you ever monitored it and saw any changes on that department?

It would be nice if the people who installed this would speak on it. I’m wondering if that lag 0-30 is fixed.
I got it done and can definitely say it drives better afterwards. Agree that everything feels smoother when driving and I think it got more juice too. I’m not super techy about this so didn’t run any actual tests or anything - just what I feel.

Because it is an expensive tune, people are still under warranty and may not want to take the risk, people are fine with the OEM tune. The OTT tuner in my area (region) seems to travel the region and his next "tune" day anywhere near me is in October. A lot of people just likely don't want to bother.
My "beef" is the OTT has these tuner techs, what happens if there is an update or I need something changed? I have to track someone down, obviously this isn't the case everywhere. The Livernois for my p/u comes on a computer, they can email me updates or requested changes, I can return it to stock if needed. If there was a local shop, I would likely have had it done by now, though I am mostly fine with my LC the way it is.

Absolutely love it. Noticeable increase in power well worth the price. Draggy numbers are the same as the OTT tune.

Sorry , I meant with stock rims and tires. Results I belief are from larger rims and tires.
Just had this tune done last night with help from Paul at PNW Tuning! I'm running 35's on 703's, but the driving difference is night and day! Excited to see how it settles in as the first 50-100 miles go through an adaptive learning phase. After that the tune should settle in over the next 400-500 miles. Happy to help answer any questions people might have.
What changed?
Throttle response is definitely the most noticeable right off the bat. Keeping the gas pedal down in "Normal" mode RPMs climb up to 4k+ before shifting. Almost feels like "Normal" acts as "Sport" mode.
