it will most likely void drivetrain warranty. tune/mod at your own risk. im pretty comfortable with the amount of time this drivetrain has been out and through the various vehicles that use this engine/drivetrain that i feel there are very few engine related issues. i had a gr corolla and the amount of engines being blown up made me very uncomfortable to tune it so i didnt.

can someone help my understanding on the tune options, with OTT you basically need to find an installer( i know there are DIY options), and if you want to revert back to stock, you need to find him again to "flash it back", probably at some cost for service/time, but with the Cobb, can you just revert or uninstall and it's like it was never there and you're not reliant on a 3rd party for support? thanks
cobb accessport is a standalone unit that is "married" to your vehicle. once married, you have a choice of cobb pre-installed tunes, tune on your own, or have someone tune on your behalf. accessport cannot be married to another vehicle until everything is reverted back to factory tune and unmarried.
have the COBB AP OEM+ 93 octane installed. The Shifts are >SO MUCH< better. I would say a bit of bump in performance.. essentially brining the 2.5" lift and larger tires back to stock performance levels. That in itself is a win
Who did you get the tune through? I just put 34s on and you can tell it's a little laggy.
Edit: re-read your post. Sounds like it is through COBB. Wasn't sure if you got a custom tune through CAMTuning.
Yup out of the box OEM+ tune. Once I get the snorkel and/maybe find a quieter exhaust I will go get it retuned. But As long as your stock (inclusive of air filter) you are good with out of the box tunes.

The flash method that the Accessport uses does not leave a trace if you uninstall the tune, which only takes minutes. The flash counter will remain 0, and the ECU presents as stock when the dealer connects to it.
All tuners claim that. Flash counter is one of many parameters for tune detection. My question stands, does Toyota flag tuned vehicles?
One of my customers is a service manager at a Toyota dealer. He tried to detect any signs that the ecu had been tuned on his own truck before doing a TSB and confirmed there is no evidence that the ecu had been flashed. It does not “phone home” like ecutek. Ecutek also causes the flash count to increase every time you flash. Many other of my customers have had to go in for warranty work and none have had any friction with the dealer.
Just finished the custom tuning process with CAMTuning and couldn't be happier with the results.
The Stage 1 93 tune completely transformed the truck. It pulls much harder than stock, power delivery is smooth throughout the RPM range, and it feels far more responsive without sacrificing drivability.
What impressed me most was the revision process. After reviewing my first datalog, CAM noticed my truck had a mechanical issue. He identified what looked like a charge pipe leak based on the logs and told me to inspect the system before continuing. Sure enough, I found a loose clamp. After fixing it, my fuel trims returned to normal and I recovered about 5 PSI of boost that had been leaking.
That level of attention to detail says a lot. Instead of tuning around the problem, he made sure the truck was mechanically sound first, then completed the custom revision. The final tune is even stronger, especially through the midrange where you actually spend most of your time driving.
Communication was excellent, turnaround was fast, and the entire process felt personalized rather than just flashing a generic tune. If you're thinking about tuning your Land Cruiser, I highly recommend CAMTuning. 10/10 experience.

I just installed AP OEM+ 91 octane tune, and the transformation is remarkable. The throttle response is noticeably sharp, and the power delivery feels remarkably smoother across the rev range.
