Costco sells that oil for $36 a case. And it doesn’t have the molybdenum levels (maybe 1/10) of Toyota oil (made by Exxon for Toyota).

Thanks. It’s ridiculously priced to begin with & better w/ their sale. I’ve been ordering it off Toyota’s online parts portal as to (in my DIY services) help track I’m using their Toyota spec oil in my V35A Tundras. Certainly a few versions of each weight of Mobil1 out there.

I'm looking for an oil suitable for a 20k change interval and all I'm seeing is Mobil 1's "hybrid formulated" 0W-20. It's not outrageously expensive but before I stock up is there an alternative I'm missing?

You have the same oil collection pan as me, it splatters badly though with 0W20. I use the vinyl tubing right into the collection pan. A real Time saver every 5k

I do the tube straight into a gallon jug, close valve when full and on to the next jug which is usually an empty windshield wash jug or empty 5 quart oil jug. Then off to my mechanic who heats his garage with waste oil.

Which Fumoto. I had a ?F103N from my Lotus which did not have clearance for it next to undertray. It was a 2GRFe. Surprised the threads were different on Land Cruiser! I thought F133 superceded the F103N?????

I just did the first oil and filter change after break-in @ 1,000 miles. It is one of the easiest to change. Everything is easy to access. The skid plate has 6 12mm bolts. 2 of the boltholes are key holes so you just loosen them and it will hold the weight for removal/install.
Once you have the skid plate off everything is easily accessed.
Bonus. The threads on the oil container thread into the oil filler. You just cut the first one's bottom off and you have a funnel.

That’s good to know. I’ve actually been wondering—how did the oil look when you drained it at 1,000 miles? Any noticeable metal or anything unusual?
