Just added the NYTOP Hybrid Bumper to my LC. Love it!

All that for two new recovery points?
It looks like it's a central skid plate too, it may protect bottom radiator aera too. The design keep the crash bar in place, not like other bumper manufacturers, where too many parts are removed or cut.

Just cut the lower plastic form the original bumper and you have improved locally the approach angle.

I'm in contact with NYTOP for a complete front skid solution, which should protect radiator and lower motor by resting on the ladder frame/tow points and not on the cross members. The problem is diesel engine may require openings and flow different as the petrol. Need to buy a car, remove the bumper and get it 3D scanned.

Correct. Central skid plate is metal instead of plastic - slightly better approach angle & a metal bumper out front instead of plastic.

I like it but no winch mount which is something I would definitely want if I'm going to the trouble of converting from stock. They should offer a winch mount version as well. Looks good though.

There are other valuable designs with winch mount, NYTOP is quite unique.

I appreciate a design without winch for various reasons, one is regulation. In Europe there is a strict pedestrian regulation that every modern car should meet. So front mounted bumper or winch mount are usually not street legal. The only modern 4WD car who meet this regulation and is equipped with a winch is the Grenadier. There is a regime of exception, but it's difficult to get, you should for example require it for professional use. The NYTOP is very close to meet Euro regulation with slight modifications.

It's funny that one of the most advanced countries in terms of automotive regulations, the country that forced all manufacturers worldwide to use catalytic converters (Clean Air Act), is also so lax when it comes to retrofitted accessories. I'm amazed how free you can mod your cars,. Here with 35" 0mm offset wheels on a LC and you will being stopped by the police after 500m.

Then a common problem with encased or buried winch, is access in case of rope bird nest, so my winch is mobile. I can mount it in front, rear or even pull on the side (front or rear at 90° with straight pull^).

Did anyone feel a difference of on-road stability between these two types of front brackets ??
