Thanks folks. I got chewed on a year ago, but seem to stand correct at this point and prime reason Toyota doesn't want E loads.......Stick to an XL tire is my advice if you want a bit more.

That's potentially damaging your tires etc. but i hear you loud and clear, you dont like driving with a mouth guard in.Running E loads at high pressure is straight torture, I have been running E loads for 15 plus years on different vehicles which are not three quarter ton trucks, usually Tacomas, 4runners, Jeeps and now LC. I run them at 33psi cold pressure and its the sweet spot. I do the chalk test across the thread to see the wear pattern and 33psi is where it is at for me.
Iโve traveled at highway speeds and offroad for hundreds of miles without an issue.
For sure if I was towing or carrying substantial weight I would run them higher, but my tires have always lasted me due to 5k rotations. Very impressed with the new KO3โs and Falken Wild Peaks. That's potentially damaging your tires etc. but i hear you loud and clear, you dont like driving with a mouth guard in.
I run our E rated KO2s 315/70 R17 at 35psi on our jeep (same reason as you), but jeep weighs 1000 pounds less than LC. I raise them to 38 when i tow (1500lbs). Check the chart if you havent already, just for peace of mind.
