Just happened to me last night. Just over 18k miles. Hopefully it resolves overnight tonight. HUD and half the instrument cluster is gone.

Update after 3 hours it is back to normal

I don’t think so as many posted here was just a variety of dates/mileage over the past year. I will see if the dealership has any info next time I see them.

I started my car this morning and noticed I lost most of my instrument clusters. Thought if I turned off the car and turned it back on, it would reset and come back, but it’s still blank.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so, is there a fix?

Same problem with my 2025 and 600 miles. This is a lease from Toyota Corporate so I'll take it into the HQ in Plano, TX and see what they say. Probably nothing if it returns to normal as some others have discovered but if they do, I'll post an update.

Update 5/19/25. Problem resolved it's self the next day. Toyota stated they had never heard of this problem before...

I think that his has happened to many on this forum. IIRC it sorts itself out on its own most of the time. But it seems that a call or visit to your service department would be in order.

Ironically jumped in this morning, and it fired right up normal normal. I’ll be hitting the dealer up for the tsb on the brakes so I’ll mention it.

I had it happen on my 2025 LC Premium on my way to lunch and had the dealer look at it. The primary instrument cluster was minimal as shown, no HUD, and unresponsive to the steering wheel controls (directional control, enter and back key tested) and persisted through turning the car off and on. The infotainment display functioned normally and I was able to use Android Auto and make a phone call.

Dealer said it was the first time they have heard of it; there are no recalls or TSB. I did see this Toyota recall on the 12.3" display but the symptom is slightly different as only the HUD goes completely blank where as in the recall the instrument cluster is also blank. The LC250 and GX550 are not on that recall list regardless.

The dealer assistant service manager played around with the buttons a bit, turning the car off an on and since the issue persisted he asked if I could leave the vehicle. I'm hoping if Toyota gets enough reports of the issue it will get addressed.

Though it sounds like it usually starts working again after a few hours or disconnecting the battery, I don't like the possibility of randomly losing half the instrument cluster or HUD, so I really want there to be a permanent fix.

This happened to me once many months ago. After about an hour all came back to normal. Has not happened since. No rhyme or reason that I could think of.

This just happened to me with less than 2k miles on the odometer. Couldn't get it to reset after multiple restarts of the car. Parked at work for 8 hours. Started it back up and the dash display is back to normal. Most likely it's a software bug. I think it's like the Windows safe mode (low resolution graphics with only the essential OS functionality) when Windows can't fully boot up because it thinks some of its library files are corrupted. Let's see if this problem repeats itself.

Just ran into this today as well. Had to let the car sit for 15 minutes while locked and then it worked again.

HUD was inoperable, oddly the buttons seemed to work but I couldn't see what it was doing.

That happened to Miss Daisy once, shortly after I bought her. But she has been working fine since then.
