Fishing with Land Cruisers

Now that I retired the wife said get a hobby, so decided to try fishing, haven't fished sine I was young one. Gonna do me some trout fishing (no fly fishing for me, not yet anyway) Going toward the end of Sept to Arkansas for a week, meeting up with old friend and boss. Then Oct-Dec hit up South Carolina and Georgia.
Will be camping in the LC, got sleeping situation from Solid Wood Worx, have my BLUETTI power station, now need to figure out regular cooler or electric cooler.
Got the total vehicle blackout from weather tech.
Most importantly got my Fenwich Rod and Lew’s spinning reel. Need one more rig, with slightly larger reel.
Will be using Panther Martin Trout/Panfish spinners.

Not sure what you’re after, but I have been having a ton of success w/ just basic spoons in the brackish channels and sound sides up/down the NC coast. It’s easy to buy a rig for everything, but I haven’t needed it.

Just looking for helpful info from folks that trout fish and camp in the LC, will be going out for 3-5 days at a time, will be hitting some water between Sc/Nc, Sc/Ga. Probably staying in National Forest areas or camp grounds. Wanna stay fresh water, cooler weather.

I meant what kind of fish you were after, not why you were posting man! If it sounded like I was questioning what kind of response you were after I didn’t mean it that way.

I chase specs, reds and flatfish. I have been pulling out small mouth with spoons, but don’t do a ton of full freshwater fishing outside of my residential retentions.

Trout is what I am going after, that may change later, hell I could have been confused, no biggie.

I don't think there's many salt water fisherman on here (prove me wrong!), but I know yall in the mountains are flyfishing with yours - lets see those fish photos with the LC!
I use it to drive to the boat and go out in the Gulf. LC is fantastic, the parking lot at the yacht club is not full size pick up friendly. Not to mention the time I took my truck, an anxiety ridden teen came running out telling me to go park in the service parking lot.

I went this route after running my riversmith on top for many years..

Rocco got out fishing last weekend. Faithfully carried the rods. He didn't catch any fish...but I did.

Summer was pretty hit and miss with all of the rain we got, were you able to get out a fair bit? I got on the Old Man once and a few times on the Panther.. had to go to BC for decent weather.

Got out a lot. I’m a guide and we had a ton of bookings in July. August was slower but I got out for myself a few times and had some great days even in September. Had a guided trip this past Wednesday, was a bit slow but we got into some fish.

Hopefully have some pics near a river soon!
I was wondering how the lift gate would fit with one of those on top. Looks like you've no issues there. Looks like OEM rack?

Sea Bass catch Indian River Delaware 10-18-25....

My LC was too heavy for the davits to load on the Viking 50 yacht.
