02/23/25, 1500 miles - HELLA Horn Upgrade (012010901 Black 12V BX Trumpet Horn Kit, Black). Complete with Toyota connectors, no wiring, plug & play, looks/sounds the same as OEM, comes in different colors, and HELLA cheaper than OEM..

I would say they sound HELLA better . Love mine!!

To clarify by OEM you’re meaning the premium Toyota OEM horns right? Not the OEM LC horns. Both the Toyota premium and the Hella’s are night and day better than what Toyota gave us on the LC.

Yes, exactly, thanks for pointing that out. I was comparing the Hella Horns to the OEM Premium Horns. Other than the brand, price and color options, I could not find a difference between either. Pretty sure they are the same 400/500 Hz as well.

06/13/25, 4500 miles - Beginning the first loaded down road trip. San Diego CA to the Bay Area CA, about 500 miles non-stop, overnight. Not a heavy load, but the cargo area is full top to bottom, half the backseat is full top to bottom, three adults in the remaining seats, and three full 14 gallon storage containers strapped to the roof.

10/08/25, 10000 miles (yes, I pulled into the service bay with exactly 10k miles!) - Toyota Care Service #2 (Oil Change, 5-Way Tire Rotation, Multi-Point Inspection). Since this is my final dealer service visit under Toyota Care, I had the dealer repair the Front Brake Squeal Noise, covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. (T-SB-0046-25)

10/10/25 - The third Toyota (2003 Tacoma Xtracab 4x4 V6 SR5 V6 TRD 5-Speed) and fifth Toyota together, both owned since new.

Need: Easier to access place to put my phone. I can’t stand having it loose in the center console, and I don’t like holding the phone while driving.

10/27/25, 10487 miles - Offroam MagSafe-compatible Phone Mount (EE20164) installed. My phone now acts as a second screen to complement the 8-inch infotainment touchscreen.

How difficult was it to assemble and install the Westcott Roof rack? Mine just arrived. My buddy is going to help but he's ADHD, so I'm going to pre assemble it before he gets here. I find we do better work when there are less parts to lose.

Super easy install, I think you guys will be fine. I took my sweet time, more time than needed, mostly due to my own time constraints and busy schedule. Checked and double checked each step, following along with the Westcott YouTube installation video every step of the way. You only need a buddy to get it onto the roof, everything else can be done solo. I did all the pre-assembly and prepared the roof ahead of time by myself. Then had a buddy come over to help me carefully lift it into the roof. Once we had all the roof bolt holes aligned and started, I did all the final assembly steps on my own. Don't forget to use RTF on the bolts that go into your roof.
