Hey All, new member! Coming in from the Eastern Canada! (New Brunswick)

I am looking for some other member who have ordered new 1958 models in Brown Sugar Metallic. I have a question about pricing and delivery times!

I placed a factory order and deposit back in the start of August! Fast forward 2 weeks and I got a call that one just left the factory and I could have taken it, but at the time I still had not sold my prevous truck (its gone now) and I declined the offer.

Anyway, since then, I havent heard anything in a while and wondered how long I might expect? My original rough delivery date was around the very end of 2026. How long did others wait for a 1958 in Brown Sugar?

Next question is about pricing. My local dealer treated me well, they didnt upsell me anything. I got bare bones no add ons, nothing additonal and I pretty much signed up to pay the exact matching data on the toyota.ca website? Is this common or did I miss out on getting a deal below msrp? I see in USA this appears common, but from what ive gathered up in here in Canuskistan you pretty much pay msrp or above?

Welcome.
Toyota doesnโ€™t take orders, vehicles are allocated. Dealers can swap allocations to help a customer get the vehicle that most closely resembles the vehicle they want.

You would think that since the LC250 is in its 4th model year now that there would be a steady supply of them to dealers, but that does not seem to be the case. It's easy for an owner to say, but patience is going to be necessary just like it was for the early model years.

Yeah I understand the allocation system toyota uses, and i guess i was just incredibly lucky for having them offer me one after 2 weeks. But life being what it is. I wasnt ready at that point so I guess I continue to wait.

Something will come up! When I purchased I was also facing really long wait times, but one came in who the person it was allocated wasnโ€™t ready to sign, so I was able to swoop in.

Did you put a deposit down at the dealer you were working with?

Edit- I see that you did after rereading your post

I did the same, placed a "factory order" and deposit for a 2025 Black 1958 and ended up waiting 9 months to take ownership of a 2026 model year. The dealership did not budge on price so I paid the MSRP as shown on the Toyota Canada website.

I will only add that you will not be disappointed in your preferred model/color. Iโ€™m 30k miles into my ownership of a meteor (Brown Sugar in the States) 1958. I think I still take more pictures of it than I do my children.

Crazy how things are. I kind of decided in 1 week to get an LC and there happened to be the exact one I wanted at my local dealer on the lot. 2026 in meteor shower. Walked in on Sat AM and bought it. MSRP. 4/2026. So much fun and so glad I didnโ€™t have to wait
