I am so ready to buy a Land Cruiser. The GTA (Toronto) is notorious for auto thefts. I witnessed the indifferece of law enforcement twice in the last 3 years. A Lexus RX and a Ford F150, both stolen at different times was left at the front steps of my next door neighbor. My neighbor called the police, only to be late after the thief came back to drive it away. The second car was parked for 24 hours. No LE ever came. I have my security camera record both incidents right down to the time the truck was dropped off and the driver jumped in as a passenger in a following second vehicle.
I am not willing to risk my life and limb after I acquire my LC. I hope Toyota will make something like biometric security systems to secure our vehicles. I have researched IGLA system, but the dealer said it will void my warranty.
