Dogs and Cruisers

Toyota LC250 OEM dog guard - added a couple of side grills to ensure dogs can’t climb around the sides. Verdict: 6/10 [room for improvement]

Ziggy and Roo in the back of the previous car - LC a big upgrade on Jimny SZ5

This is my dog Atlas. He's an 85 pound English Setter. He's almost too tall for the back seat.

I put an Amazon seat cover on the back seat so that when the snow is melting off of him from our latest snow bike ride that it doesn't get all over the leather. All in all, I'm satisfied with the cover. It isn't a perfect fit, but is functional.

So far the 250 is a great adventure/dog rig.

Let's see your pooches and cruisers.
This is Zee. AKA Princess Tracker! She rides in her Impact 400 for safety and comfort. Fits like a glove with the back seat up for all our gear.

nice. what sizes are those rufflands? both backseats are up? full forward on the recline setting?
edit: on second look, both seats are likely folded down. ha.
Just on the XL side. The L doesn't need the seat folded down. It's just a little bit short on the XL and the tilt of the seat makes it not quite fit. Get rid of the tilt and it all works.

My pup Blu rides in the backseat. I put a towel down then a seat cover I got off of Amazon. He doesn't like the rear for some reason and wants to be in the backseat. His wish is my command.

I have a 120lb Rottweiler/Pyrenees mix, 55lb Australian Cattle Dog and a 40lb Doberman/Chihuahua mix. They all love the rides in the Land Cruiser. I bought a rugged hard rubber sheet and cut it to fit the back with the seats folded down. then added one of those faux kevlar dog cover things that strap to the back of the front seats and drape that out into the cargo area over the front half of the rubber mat. Then I finish off the whole are with a nice soft furniture blanket for comfort. Yeah I know its a kinda hodge podge setup but it gives them plenty of room and they seem to love it.

Of course the Cattle Dog being well, a Cattle Dog, has to sit up front with me and tell me how to drive.

I'll take an ACD in the shotgun position over a human any day!😁

This is koji my adopted pup that is 8-9 years old and likely a mix of a blue heeler, poodle, and terrier.

He is a spunky little guy that loves to cruise with me for morning surfs / beach outtings, hiking and a new recent hobby of off roading & car camping (making sure I use the LC as intended).

These are my two pups.

Daisy (black and white) is a Rat Terrier, she is wickedly smart and there isn't a small rodent anywhere that is safe from her.

To the left of Daisy is a black tail which belongs to the cat, Boomer, he grew up with our two dog, he sacts like a dog including playing fetch and playing rough with the dogs,

Her brother, Ralphie (tan), is a mutt, sweet as can be, but dumb as brick.

Edited to correct a missing word.
