I tried buying Toyota branded oil from my dealer when I bought Miss Daisy. They said they didn’t sell it. But did sell Mobil 1… go figure.

gf-7 supercedes gf-6a. gf-7 further enhances protection against lspi which is critical for small displacement turbo motors. some gf-6a oils already meets gf-7 specs.

I use Costco Kirkland 02-20 oil. Project farm tested it and it preformed the same as Mobile 1. If I remember correctly, its made in the same factory and is mobile 1 oil. I change every 3-5K miles (as close to 3 as I can).

It's a little tricky. When ordering oil by the case they claim that shipping is not available. When ordering by the quart they say shipping is available. I placed an order yesterday and received a confirmation notice but I'm hesitant to count my chickens just yet. The sale is for nationwide free shipping, with exclusions.

They ship oil, they wanted $44 for 12qts. Their discount price was great, shipping killed it for me.

That guy is great for various knick-knacks, but motor oil isn't something I would listen to him about. Kirkland is supposed to be fine. Regardless, all oils must meet a certain spec, and if you are changing at or before 5k, not towing heavily, racing, or heavy off roading, any oil that meets the OEM specs is likely fine.

Looks like Warren, but looks like Warren AND Mobile 1 are both owned by ExxonMobil. I remember watching tests, and it performed extremely similarly to Mobile 1. To me, all the signs point to them being the same quality.

They likely use the same base oil and different although similar additive packages.

According to Lake Speed all commercial oil bases are made by 3 companies (maybe 4?) and are basically the same. Each brand customize their oil by different additives as bad1975 said.

NAPA had lowest wear of anybody tested, I believe......MOG is the real deal and one of the FEW YouTube guys I really put faith in. Testing backs it all up too.
