Wonderful if it will be easy to retrofit the heated and ventilated rear seats into the older model year premiums (I have a 2024 with Premium and having heated/vented seats would be nice for the kids when they are older and out of the booster seats) . . .

Not sure... the premium package on the 27 comes with leather trimmed steering wheel, while it doesn't specify that in the 2026 build. Pics online when building a 26 and 27 doesn't change. We'll see...

Im pretty sure our 2024 LC with Premium package has a leather trimmed heated steering wheel. We are in US though.

For some reason it’s not listed under the premium package on the 2026, but is on the 2027. I’m in the us as well.

Yes. It is leather trimmed on the Premium in the US. In fact, I believe it is leather trimmed in all models of the US Land Cruiser.

Except that's not necessarily the case or what that warning is supposed to mean...

"Don't buy a first model year" is more about "Don't make yourself a beta tester" for a brand new vehicle version...because there's a much higher chance that issues not present in testing may pop up, and 1st model year vehicles are thus more prone to recalls and service bulletins. Toyota is constantly taking feedback from owners and dealers and making changes where needed to fix even minor issues -- these may be small engineering changes that don't show up on a consumer spec sheet as a "new feature", but are still an improvement in overall reliability.

Have there been many (or any) of these for the LC 250? I don't know...but that doesn't mean it never happens and that it isn't still good advice in general.

Toyota in particular really isn't known for doing much in the way of feature upgrades for new model years within the lifespan of a vehicle's generation...though for longer-running model gens they will occasionally do minor facelifts and tech refreshes, but definitely not every model year.

And my 26 4Runner platinum has dual pane front glass. To me the Land Cruiser is a step above the 4Runner so would assume it would have it

Frankly, I have never seen so many people obsessed with how many panes of glass a vehicle has. Coming from three Range Rovers, the Land Cruisers glass is perfect because it doesn't fall down in the track and the button to open/close works every time....

Laminated definitely helps a bit with the mirror wind noise. That's the only reason I'm considering it. Plus it gives me the kick in the ass to sound proof the down panels as well.

My local dealer is St Charles Toyota in the far west Chicago suburbs and has a few 2027s coming in mid to late May. There are a few other local dealers slotted for May deliveries as well but I can't recall exactly who... possibly Naperville and Pauly Toyota.
