Hello, first post from a lurker.

I've settled on purchasing a 2027 LCLC (Premium Package, SDM with a limited exterior and interior color list) as my long term daily and will be putting a deposit down at my local dealer (Toyota of The Avenues, Jacksonville) in December or January. Knowing I intend to be a little picky about the color and trim, I'm willing to wait (close to retirement and don't have to have a vehicle right this second) and will probably end up paying MSRP with little to no discount. I'm generally ok with this but have a serious mental block about paying over MSRP. I'm thinking this is a reasonable expectation, if not please correct me.

I'm in NE FL and have read various blurbs on the forum about how South Eastern Toyota can be compared to a "cartel" but I haven't found any detailed breakdown as to why people think this, although knowing my unfavorable option of dealerships in general (I absolutely loathe them) I probably tend to agree regardless.

What are some of the reasons for this take on the SET dealers? My forum search results were not informative.

Thanks, I look forward to sharing pictures when I get it!

f you are willing to travel put your zipcode of some New England state (cheaper LCs there from my experience) and search 500 miles. Search for price low to high. You will see if any discounts are offered. Once you have selected a vehicle start talking to the dealer to get additional discounts
I am in Houston (Gulf State) and got mine from upstate newyork (TMNA).

The warranty is same, the one diffrence is that if I had bought from houston, they would have treated me like their customers who bought it from them and easier to make warranty claims

But currently all LC's are on stop sale so this will work once they are back on sale

Why are they on stop sale? I picked mine up only about a week ago.

OP, I would just search for what you want at the price you want and either fly out and get in wherever it is or pay a couple thousand for it to be shipped. Get what you want and get it discounted. I just got mine and got about $4000 off MSRP.

Hmmmm yeah I picked mine up Wednesday, guess I did get lucky because I sold my previous daily driver Lightning to a buddy at the same time. Would have been a pain not to be able to pick this one up.
