After installing Frontrunner Drawer system + fridge slider in the trunk, and steel front bumper+1.2K lbs winch in the front, I decided to do “fully lifted” for the LC. I now got 2” lifted rear (actually 1.75” because of 125 lbs drawer system) and leveled the front to the rear.

The lift kit: TC (Total Chaos) upper control arm + 2.5” dia adjustable King shocks, and Dobinsons 2” lift springs (rear, 170-330 lbs constantly additional weight)

Currently I have 33” KO3 (275/70R18), and the run is great. Very happy with this upgrade for my off-road and on road use. I probably have 35” tires soon ;) to gain 1” more clearance.

Note: (I still have 3” clear to my garage opening to accommodate 35” tire;)

Looks great! Are you using wheel spacers?
No wheel spacers, but springs (2” lift / taller Dobinsons ones)
Note: wheel spacers can help you to achieve the look with minimum cost, but reduce the travel…and ;)

Definitely trade offs with spacers, but they can help with tire clearance and aftermarket control arms. What's your plan when you go to 35s? Anxious for pics!

I think it looks amazing! Would you be willing to share total cost for the lift?

How do you like the Kings on the LC? I'm debating that and an Icon setup. Had kings on my Tacoma and really liked them.

Beside all the parts I mentioned in my earlier post, I also added the KDSS panhard bracket to level the trackbar (2” lifted may / may not significantly require it, but with it I will have 200% safe, and it not expensive $250 to add in while doing the major suspension work)

The total cost is nearly $7.5k ( big purchase but it total worth for highest performance off-road and on-road. I saw couple LC in shop to remove their “temporary” spacers / spring collars to have similar my suspension setup! Labor cost them twice!):

• Total Chaos upper control arm
• 2” dia adjustable king shocks (front and rear)
• Front and rear sway bar link kit
• Dobinsons 2” lift springs (rear only) 150-330 lbs continuous addition load
• KDSS panhard bracket (see attached photo)
• Labor + tire/wheel alignment

I observed and the shop spent 6-7 hrs to get it done with couple adjustment of front suspension ( twice: take off, adjust the height and alignment)

King is king suspension 😛 😛 😛 America made (in California)
This set/kit designed for LC 250
Actually, I do love and happy with it. Get once, cry once and happy forever hahah

MPG…MPG…MPG almost “1000s” posts talking about it 😛 😛. I had 1 long written about my opinion before and that’s it 😜

My MPG with fully “ready to go anywhere, KO3 275/70/R18” BEFORE the upgraded suspension and AFTER are the same 15.5-16 mpg. I drive like “stolen” truck (all the time I am the 1st one accelerate from the the stop light and leave everyone behind hahah) and my work/ office is 8 mi from home with tons of stop-and-go local streets.

I see LC is “true” LC, and drive like “LC” with smiles. Don’t care much about MPG as initial purpose to purchase it.

Perfect look! Thanks for the information. I guess 35's will be an improvement but looks awesome now. I am not far behind you - getting antsy to do the lift.

Agreed. It looks really cool / rugged with KO3 33” already. However, to take advance of this fully 2” lifted kit, 35” will provides the “superior” look and better off-road performance hahaha

Falken Wildpeak A/T4W 35X11.5R18 C/6PLY is coming soon with 1” spacer so that I can have +40mm instead of +65mm OEM (perfect flush with fender)
I like to keep the OEM looks of wheels with “Toyota” logos

Note: 1” spacer is must. 35” tires can be the option

Thanh, can you post what your center of hub to bottom of wheel well measurement is in the front and back? Thanks... looks amazing! Glad those rear springs worked out. The heavier Dobinson springs did the trick for me.

Chris,
Thanks for the Springs! Glad to hear the heavier springs worked out for your case.

Front and rear measurements are SAME in my LC (leveled): center wheel hub—bottom of wheel well 23 1/4”

Oh, I don't agree. Obviously it depends on how you use your truck (and yours looks great, by the way). My tricked-out Tacoma was getting 17mph on the highway and 14 in the city, and it was one of the reasons (but not the only reason) that I traded it in for the Land Cruiser. I enjoy going way out off grid to camp, but there's often a 500 mile drive or so just to get to the start of the trails I like to tackle. I was filling up multiple times per trip.

The LC isn't a huge win in the MPG category, but right now I'm getting about 22 mpg on the highway and it makes a big difference in my quality of life index to not have to stop so many damn times to get gas (esp in the People's Republic of California).

The biggest obstacle for me is the ground clearance, or lack thereof.

I had never wanted to argue anything and/ or prove anything here. All I love is sharing my personal views / experiences and learning from orthers about LC. If I disagree with some, I just leave them alone and once day I may see their benefits from different angles.
Bottom line, be happy with your LC for any purposes/uses. All is beautiful on its own way. It’s me 😜 😜 😜

Glad to hear that you satisfied with your LC especially MPG and your use. Thanks for your writing.
Happy and enjoy LC to you and all 😜

Oh, I wasn’t arguing, just sharing my personal view. Sorry if it came across that way.

I think that’s what we’re all doing.
