I ordered mine through one of the online Toyota parts dealerships. You have to separate the insert from the Rav4 knob, then just press it on to the LC's radio control stem.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the volume knob the same for the 1958 and the higher spec systems? The website only show the '58 in their pictures.

Finally got around to getting the Rav4 knob and I love it. Install was a cinch. It's a good size, has rubberized parts, and lights up. It's perfect for me.

Oh, and it was $12 Canadian. Which is like $0.56 USD.

I think the Rav 4 knob lights up. Never paid attention......LOL

It does, which is one of the reasons I went with it. The knob is in such an inconvenient location (odd location) it is the only vehicle where I actually use the steering wheel control. I don't think it would even matter if it was illuminated.

Plus, I keep reaching up and grabbing the A/C vent knob.

I bought a larger knob to replace the micro volume knob. I expected I’d be able to just pull the knob off easily but it’s on really tight. Should I just pull harder?

12" volume knob. Won't that big of a knob be cumbersome? (LOL, I'm at the top of my game this morning)

I never replaced the knob as its buried beneath my cellphone/phone mount most of the time. However, decades of right hand reaching for volume knob/making radio selections is burned into brain neurons and I find myself digging under phone to use the knob anyway. I like the on-off button function too. Think I'll get one of the bigger but low-profile knobs (ZR Overland) - though $50 for a nubbin seems a bit frivolous.

The switch itself under the knob is lit. The rav4 knob has some translucent plastic molded into it.
