Will a 18" x 9" +40mm offset wheel work on the LC (Base) Trim with stock suspension and height with no rubbing? I'm considering 275/70/R18 tire size. Is anyone running an 18" (or 17") x 9" wheel with a +40mm offset, can you post photos?

Itโ€™s just a built in color coding with green near stock offset. Offsets around 40 seem to be ideal for giving the tires the most room on stock suspension. I think I have the link to the Icon video in the spreadsheet, that shows some good examples of different offsets.

Does the change in offset from the factory configuration affect the suspension geometry at all? Does it cause any unwanted strain/stress on any components or require realignment? What about ride/drive characteristics?

I don't think changing from stock 60 offset to 40 with a wider wheel would change things enough to matter. But I'm no expert.

Here's a calculator to help you decide.

Generally in the case of LC250 a higher offset reduces poke and helps with tramlining.

Let's say you go from the 245/70/18 on the 1958 to 275/70/18 you would want a little less positive offset than the stock +65 offset. So in this case a slightly wider wheel with a +55 offset would work better with 275s.

This calculator is very helpful in visualizing what happens with the different offset, wheel width, and tire sizes.
