What tires are you running on your 17 inch rims?

I chose to put Nitto Terra Grappler G3 in 275 70 R17 on my vehicle. I didn’t want to have the tires extend significantly beyond the fenders.

That looks like a perfect fitment to my eye!

Just me, or does this tire size not exist? Was it a typo? Because this would be the perfect size for me if there are such tires out there.
You're correct. He is likely running a 275/70R17. Yes, that would be an ideal size and I remember wishing someone made that back in my 4Runner days.

For those who have swapped out to a 17 inch rim what tires are you running and what's the verdict?
I went Wildpeak at4 in SL load as they are lighter and smoother then lt (I don’t tow or rock climb)

Went with 285/70 r17 on method 703 with 35mm offset. Took me a long time to decide but I’m 10/10 happy with my choice. The ride is amazing better than stock. Mpg doesn’t look like it too a hit at all. Smooth, quiet feels more planted.

35mm looks great on the 1958 but does poke a bit more then premium model. I will get some beefier mud flaps to save the paint from salt/gravel spray during Canadian winters.

I put Falken WildPeak AT4W LT255/80R17 (true 33" diameter) on Method 703 rims. With almost 4000 miles on the combination, I've been very pleased with their on-road performance. I'm looking forward to getting them off-road, but that's in the future. Click on the link above if you want to know how/why I picked this combination. Be warned - it's a pretty detailed explanation of my thought process!
I was looking to pull the trigger on the Falken AT4W's as well. This is my first landcruiser, so I'm new to this, but would you recommend getting some new wheels as well, or does anyone use the OEM wheels with Falken's?

That's entirely up to you!

If you like the look of the stock wheels I'd say keep them. If you think you'll want something a little more aggressive to match the new tires, you can sell your stock setup with wheels and tires together to offset some of the cost of the wheels of your choice.

Appreciate it. Value wise would I get back a better value selling my tires without the OEM wheels? Or would I get a better value back selling the tires with the OEM wheels?
