I’m using Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts in 285/70R17 in E load rating. Love them in the wet and dry (though like any A/T they’ll never compete with a snow tire for snow/ice.

I’m very happy with them.

Sorry for being late, but i hope those pictures help, I went with the offset my self, i saw people doing +40 with 8.5" wide wheels, so i thought shave 0.5" from the wheel to save weight and go with more offset.

I dig the look. Any rubbing or issues? Assuming the spare fits as well? And were there any issues with the tire pressure monitor? Sorry for all the questions. If this set up is money for you then I'm about to do the same to my LC.

285/70 Wildpeak AT4. Not as comfy as stock tires but I don’t mind them.

Hi! Is this the Nomad 17x8.6 with +25 offset? How bad is the poke on them? And are you on stock suspension and no lift?

Considering these for my LC but don’t want to lift or change my suspension

For anyone interested in Falken WildPeak AT4Ws, here is a close up pic of my LT255/80R17 (E-Load) aired down to 20 psi and sitting on a rock. If you wonder why pizza cutters are great choices for offroading, this pic is an excellent example. The wheels are Method 703 (+35) in gloss titanium. The tires had much better grip than the Toyo Open Country tires that were on a pick-up truck on the same trail (Mosquito Pass).

How do they do on the road? I don’t off-road enough to justify anything super aggressive. I’ve been hunting for a set of 255 80 r17s for Method 703s (your other post inspired me) but am considering going with 255 75 17 as it really opens up the non-e rated options.

I've driven over 10K miles on the WildPeaks and find them to be exceptional offroad and excellent on road. Falken did a great job reducing the noise of the WildPeaks going from the AT3W to the AT4W. Driving down the highway at 80 mph is not an unpleasant experience on the WildPeaks. For the LC, the 255/80R17 gets 39 psi compared to the stock tires which are at 33 psi. So, when you hit a big crater at highway speed (pothole or expansion joint), you definitely know it. Of course, it's all relative - I could say the same about the OEM tires on the 20" rims. One of the best resources IMO is Tyre Reviews on YouTube. Lots of good tires, its just a matter of finding the right one for your needs.

Really hoping they come out with D-rated AT4's here soon for the LC's... I have a set of AT4's on my Power Wagon and absolutely love them... I just know the weight of the E-rated tires doesn't play too nice on these LC's...

You seem to be misinformed - the weight of the E-rated tires is no problem for the LC. You'll take a small hit on mpg, but it's not a huge difference (around one mpg in my experience.)

My wheel/tire combo adds 10 lbs of unsprung weight per corner.

Those 703's are perfectly matched for this type of application. While not a beadlock, the bead grip is sooo good at 20 lbs and rough terrain. Likelihood of losing a bead in these conditions is nil. 20lbs with a 20inch regular rim and its a good bet you will lose more than one on this trip.

If I am remembering correctly the Black Rhino Stadium will support a stock Toyota TRD cap. Not sure if they are the same as the ones you have but worth checking into.
