I finally had the exhaust installed today.

So first let me just say that I may very well be an outlier on this, because if I'm honest I absolutely hated that sewing machine sound of the stock exhaust. I have to say that I felt a tremendous relief hearing that sound gone.

That said the other thing that concerned me in making this change was that it would be too loud. I mean it's a Landcruiser I did not want it sound obnoxious. And at least for me it does not. It is a nice deep guttural sound that to my ear is how I imagined this machine should sound.

If I gain any more insights on the sound I will follow up.

As far as the installation, I made a few calls and the pricing varied wildly. I had it done by a local muffler shop, they did the install in less than an hour and they charged very little.

Great post, all joking aside i am thinking the same.
How is it on the interior at freeway speeds?
Thx for posting this.

Some pics it’s raining can’t do much more now.

Thanks for the review of this. Either that exhaust or the Magnaflow version will be going on my 250 before too long.

It sounds pretty go. My concern, other than I don't care what others think lol, is if an owner would still like it 6-12mo down the road when the novelty wears off. I threw the middle level Borla on my V8 F-150 and thought it was great... for a few months, then it annoyed the heck out of me. Plus, i'm waiting to see what comes of the LRA saddle aux fuel tank.

Great post, congrats.

I shared the concern, IMO Toyota gave it a robust tone but one appropriate for a Land Cruiser. I think they got it just right. I just love it. Between the feel of the KO3's and the performance exhaust, today I was thinking this thing is just perfect now. About the only thing I would change is at the next tire change I would go with the D rated KO3's, that are coming out next year, to reduce the weight some. Really that's it.
