These engines seem to have a problem with fuel (gasoline) getting into the oil. That would be my first worry.Considering that our LC has very few km on it so far, I'm not impressed. Issues include the rising oil level; the dealer promised to contact Toyota about this more than four months ago but no reply yet. And one day, pretty much every warning light and system failure warning lit up. That happened around Christmas time; maybe the LC wanted to get in on the seasonal light shows. And then there's the very poor fuel economy. And, in my opinion, Toyota should have put a non-hybrid V6 into the LC.
The important thing, however, is that my wife wanted it and likes the way it looks.
Indeed, my first two oil changes both showed fuel in the oil (sent to SPEEDiagnostix for analysis), with no signs of antifreeze in the oil.
I just change Miss Daisy’s oil for the third time at ~10,000 miles, but the analysis is not back yet.
My worry beads are out.
