Added a Victory side panel to my factory roof rack. Slight modification was done to the top bracket. Very happy with the way it turned out.

If you look at the second pic you will see that I added a bend on the top mounting bracket.
Thanks a lot for this. I've been looking for a way to mount some recovery boards because I'll have a Yakima box on top, and wont have room. I think this will be perfect. I just ordered. Would you might if I reach out if I can't figure out the bracket bend mod you made?

I really like the design and look of these side panels for this vehicle. I just opened up the angle of the top bend (this also keeps the lower joint lined up). But the guy at the machine shop used a press the size of a wall of a house to do that! I tried a small press but the bracket started bending at the perforations first. The key seemed to be having the right piece in the press to put pressure on either side of the angle but close to it, for the full length of the bracket. Maybe someone could encourage Victory 4x4 to offer that piece with a more open angle there - it would be the only side panel made to fit the stock rack as far as I can tell. Like @t3lcfe I added a second suction cup as well (Wood's Powr Grip 4.5 inch Vacuum Suction Cup with 1/4-20 Female Thread | eBay).

I reached out to Victory 4x4 and they have no plans to offer an option, or separate bracket, to make this easier to fit the OEM roof rack.
I like the Victory but reluctant to buy without a little more information on how the modification is made exactly. I think I will need to make a bend in the top bracket that is attaching to the roof rack, but how much of a bend and how easy is that metal to bend? How do you bend it? I would really appreciate any tips or information someone could throw my way. I want to be able to carry a couple rotopax and this seems like the best option.

So awesome OP. Wanna add this to my LC with same roof rack. I didn't catch which make, year and model version from Victory you actually ordered. I see one for the lexus 460 but it's a uniquely different shape. Please lemme know. Hell even an item or model number would be even better. Hope to grab one on sale around black friday. We bend metal kinda regularly at my job so I hope my skillset transfers to your bracket mods you posted. Thanks for posting this.

Just to throw it out there....another option without the need to modify or bend metal, is the RCI Off-Road molle panel. It seems well made and very similar to the Victory but again, made to fit the OEM roof rack.
Oh awesome. Great to know. I just installed RCI‘s rock rails so I know they’re well-made. I may stick with the victory ones as they are considerably cheaper and shipping is included plus I don’t mind modifying the metal a little. I’m not gonna use this very often so looking to save a little money. But I really appreciate you informing me. Thanks again.
Didn’t know that RCI molle panel designed for BOTH OEM roof rack and their RCI roof rack. So they must have 2 versions…I guess. It’s awesome that we don’t need to “modify” panel to fit OEM roof rock!
Most side rails of aftermarket roof racks are 90 degree (vertical) except OEM side panel is about -15 degree angle…
You had those RCI molle panels installed on your OEM roof rack ?
The RCI web site says that its panel is made to fit the RCI roof rack. Doesn't mention the LC OEM rack.
While the cutouts on the racks look somewhat similar, is it certain that the RCI molle panel works without modification on the LC OEM rack?
(Also, noticed that the RCI panel includes either one or two SeaSucker suction cups - not sure if it's one or two for each panel.)

I am sorry if I proposed something that is not true regarding these RCI molle panels. I posted the language below that is from the Molle Panel description. I took that to mean you can use with either the RCI roof rack OR LC 250 roof rack. I guess a call to RCI should be in order before anyone purchases.

Wait, there is more. At bottom of description portion for these panels from RCI. They do use the word "suspected", but they confirm it fits the 1958.
