Finally found a low profile roof ‘rack’

Recommend you run from the GX OT OEM rack. Wind noise is the biggest complaint from owners on the GX forum. I imagine paying $1500 for a forced option that most remove immediately is frustrating.

I'm also curious about wind noise. In addition, it doesn't look like there's a ton of room between the roof, so how hard or easy it is to mount up brackets and whatnot to the rails?

Really liked the low pro oem+ look of RAGO FAB cross bars. Mounted the Roam 128L from our old 4r.

AMR - Comgrats on the setup - looks really good.
Can you describe the mounting of the Roam?
Also, a few of us interested in how the rack sounds on the highway when it’s clean up top.

Hard to say exactly. There's about a 4" overhang from the roam mounts on the front of the rack. Wind noise is more noticeable above 45mph.

Posting this here since I haven’t seen any mention of this Rago rack on this forum yet. Sorry the photos aren’t very good, but you get the idea.

For those who like this concept and are looking for more options like it, looks like Victory 4x4 is making something also.

Just ordered this same system couple weeks ago. Dont know about you but mine has a 4-6 week lead time with a 2 week delivery but I am up in the great white north soooo....

That said, glad to hear you are happy with it. I generally like Rago's stuff. I have their external Molle panels as well.

Needed a lower profile rack due to underground parking at work.

I inquired about this one and for those that might want to know, this one is removable when not using it. It appears to remove and re-install easily. Still not sold on it though. My thoughts are a GX550 roof rack for a good price (less than $400) will fit my needs and store easily enough when not in use.

Good find SS396. Victory 4x4 sent me a link launching that new rack to improve the stock LC Premium & GX rack functionality. Looks really close to the Rago except it goes over the stock rails, vs Rago going inside the rails.
