I’m a big fan of platform style roof racks that have no side rails but plenty of spots for attachment and bolt-ons. I had a Rhino-Rack platform on the bed cap of my 3rd Gen Tacoma and really liked it. I still like Rhino products and would have gotten their 3/4 platform with the backbone mounting system for my LC250, but I don’t like how the platform ends up being too high above the roof line. Instead I went with the Rago Fabrication’s crossbar system that integrates with the factory roof rails. It requires removing the roof rails, and mounting the Rago rack with 5 Rivnuts on each side, then reinstalling. Overall it was super easy and installation (me only) took a couple hours. Some day I may go with a full roof rack but for now this is perfect! I hear no additional wind noise and no apparent hit on mileage. Posting this here since I haven’t seen any mention of this Rago rack on this forum yet. Sorry the photos aren’t very good, but you get the idea.
