Researched and purchased a Wavian 5 gal can. Nothing but good things about this Gerry can. Will probably only use on trails and fill it soon before start and keep inside rig. No fumes, no spill, no worries. $120 for 5 gal canister and no concerns about attachments to outside of truck, locks, multiple containers, etc. Will figure way to fasten down in rear.

The Wavian cans are really nice. I have two and have never had a leak or any other issue. I'm still wary of carrying them inside the vehicle though.
I'd recommend getting this flexible spout. The plastic ones that come with the can are useless. They break easily and you can't adjust the angle of the can while pouring with the spout in the car filler neck.
This spout does have a bit of learning curve and you may have to trim the breather tube if it doesn't fit on the can.

I received an email today stating that my order for the Wavian can was cancelled because they are out of stock. Looks like no one has the Wavian in stock.
Coincidentally, also today, I noticed a super nice bronco loaded to the hilt with all the gear you could want including 2 black Rotopax cans on the molle panel over rear window, and I had chance to look closely at the setup. I think I am glad the Wavian order was cancelled. I like Rotopax, especially the slim look of the containers and ability to easily secure to the truck using the screw down fasteners.
A couple questions for anyone who knows; what is best size to get for Rotopax? I think I like a couple of 2 gallon containers? Probably easier to handle than a 4 gallon. But Gen I or Gen 2? (Something to do with interlocking bottoms?). Which is better or does it matter really?
And can you put gas in a black container? Website says gasoline in red only. But what is the difference?
