For those keeping score at home...
I installed the blue Sumo Springs and can say that I will not be keeping them.
Installation was a breeze. I lowered the truck back to the ground- and with less than a 1/4 tank of fuel and zero cargo, the drivers side bumper was touching the axle (unclear how much compression was there) and the passenger side had maybe a 3/8" gap. I then hitched up to the trailer to check the squat- and it did a fine job there. Restoring about 5/8" when measured at the wheel wells. I unhitched and took the truck for a test drive in the neighborhood and around some local roads. Much more lively from the back end, I could feel the delection when going over basic irregularities in the road and the rear shocks felt like they didnt know how to properly control the rebound. The Sumos will stay on for this weekends trip with the trailer- as I am curoius to see how the units perform when compressed with a load, but come Sunday I will be putting things back to stock and taking measurements for a universal AirLift 1000 spring kit.
When I go to install the air bags, there is a good chance that I will swap out the rear shocks to the Bilstein 4600's while I am under the truck. (Yes- I know that is changing two variables, but my hunch tells me that the Bilsteins will do a better job controling things while towing).
