Rear camera exterior hatch mount tips and instructions?

My rearview hatch window is a pretty dark tint. For best visability I want to mount my Wolfbox TriPro rear camera on the exterior of the the hatch. Does anyone have instructions for doing that job? I will also be adding a jack compartment connector for when I am towing my Airstream Basecamp 20X and connect the camera on the back of that rig. Does anyone have some images or tips for the exterior rear camera install?

Mounting the camera inside the hatch glass should work just fine. Mounting it outside is just asking for some reprobate to rip it off the glass, etc. I would put it up where the windshield wiper will be keeping the glass clean(er), rather to one side or the other.

I did a test and you may be right.
