Plug-N-Play Rear Hatch Light LC250/PRADO

I’m still not sure your question was answered. I think by all accounts I’ve read the wiring must be snaked through to the jack area connection point on all trim levels. Please correct me if I’m wrong!
Yes, that’s wrong.

Confirming that any LC or GX 550 with a powered liftgate only needs to run the lights Y connector from the liftgate close button to the center light. It does indeed take 5 minutes if you already have a powered liftgate close button

Sorry for a dumb question, I realize it is probably self explanatory. But has anybody documented the simpler approach on the LC LC trim of just snaking it from the prewired harness at the liftgate button panel?

That is exactly what is shown in my photo. I don’t believe the light is pre wired in the middle. You have to draw power from the liftgate close button using the Y adapter

Did you have to pop off the entre rear hatch to get access or jus thte bottom half? Still waiting for mine to be delivered..

I did this in about 10 minutes, pop off the covers for the light and the switches. I found it easiest to snake the y-connector through the light opening to the switches. Plug in and wrap up the excess wire, pop everything back in place.

If you have a powered tailgate, just need to pop the button panel and the center blank that you will be replacing. The tool should be included with the light

i got a similar one off amazon for the same price. Its a bit of a pain in the ass to do on the 1958, but not difficult in any way. Just annoying haha.
FYI. If you use the following text to search string at amazon you will get several vendor options and some have two day delivery.

Tailgate Illumination LED Hatch Door Lights Replacement kit For Toyota Land Cruiser Prado J250 LC250 2024 2025

Thanks for the hatch light recommendation. It was very easy to install on my LCLC. I like that it has touch on/off. In my opinion the hatch light should standard on the LCLC .

I got my order from Cartrim in 2 days from ordering as well. I'm on the west coast though. Suspect they are the same sellers or network of sellers for this
2 Days?!?!?!

Im currently on week 6 of waiting!! I have the mudflaps and rear light in the order. Im in Canada, but god damn. Showed tracking across the ocean and then to the US, and then moving to Canada.

2 days for me too but it shipped from a warehouse in LA to San Diego.

And my light and mudflaps arrived today! Light truly took 5 mins and direct plug into the power tailgate. Way easier than the other method.
I managed to break one clip as well, but still holds.
