Huge upgrade on my Land Cruiser LC250 1958 Edition! ๐Ÿ”ฅ Just installed JBL Twisters and a 12-inch head unit โ€” the difference is unreal. Super clear sound and an awesome display. Totally worth it! ๐Ÿ”Š๐Ÿ“ฑ #LC250 #LandCruiser1958 #ToyotaLandCruiser #JBLUpgrade #12InchHeadUnit #OverlandBuild

What are the details on the head unit? Does it retain the OEM compatibility and interfaces? Trying to give it a fair shake sans the volume knob delete that would drive me crazy.

This is getting slapped on a few LC groups primarily on Facebook. I wonder if the OP has any financial interest in these โ€œupgradesโ€.

This is my truck, a Land Cruiser 1958, and this was one of the best upgrades Iโ€™ve done.

The 1958 trim doesnโ€™t come with JBL in the pillars, and the stock head unit is smallโ€”so I installed a 12โ€ screen.

The best part? It keeps all the OEM functions.

Any reference about the Head Unit? what brand? model number, where to get it. etc...
I dug into the link he provided last night. It is a Cartrimhome head unit. I'd never heard of them, and the reviews are all over the place. I already hate the idea of losing a physical on/off/mut/volume button, and the lack of verifiable details IRT "retained OEM functionality" in a generically branded head unit that controls so much of the vehicle... big old hell no from me.

I started to see this post pop up in other groups and it set off a red flag for me. I just went through an extensive audio upgrade and learned more than I wanted to about Toyota/JBL electronics. This unit looks like a low cost/quality alternative destined to give one issues. Couple this with a lack of posts...and draw your own conclusions.
