I'm too OC about seeing wires and such and agree in principle with EOD's assessment re numerous charging events on these batteries. So I have a covert 90 degree usb C cable exiting Magmount coursing behind dash, with female end terminating out of sight . Most drives I dont use charger. For my unusual long haul drive, I pull out the usb C male to male cable I keep in the center console, run it down around display and plug in. Works great.

I have the Offroam as well and am not a fan of having wires running all over. I managed to find some 90° USB-C adapters and a nice short cable on Amazon. Then I printed some small custom clips that press into the gaps in the dash to hold everything in place. I honestly don't even notice the cable anymore and it doesn't get in the way of any of the buttons/controls.

Indeed, Offroam is “the best”. Low profile, super study, all aluminum. Worth every penny.
Get one and never look back for anything else.

Looks like it will essentially cover the "radio" knob. I actually use this a little bit (on-off etc). I've been looking at the StarknightMT Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Phone Holder as an alternative that keeps controls accessible. Do you have to be double-jointed to get to it?

Also close to the headlight stalk. Any interference here?

RAM Mounts with an X-Grip on the center vents or A pillar bolt points is the most popular and reliable option. Doesn't rattle and holds up on rough roads. Quad Lock is a cleaner alternative using a case based system with an adhesive dash base near the infotainment screen. For your mom specifically a center vent mount is the easiest since it requires no installation and keeps the phone at eye level and easy to grab.
