StickerFab mount is GARBAGE…this is my third purchase from them and m so angry at the way they’ve handled this. They charged me $50 for 3D printed junk and wouldn’t refund my money. I have an entire email thread with receipts if he wants to come on here an gaslight me like he has for the past 24 hours. I followed ALL instructions and watched the video as stated on the packaging. He has now removed the video that I watched, because attempting to assemble the mount prior to installing it results in it breaking in half. Also, what was shipped to me is not what is pictured on the site. It is ALSO deceptively called an axis mount indicating that it rotates on an axis (hello ball joint) but it only rotates in a static circle.

I canceled the automatic renewal on Gaia. I've had it for like a decade. It's good, but not user-friendly and they seldom update with anything useful. I'm going to give OnX a try this time.



The Offroam mount is really high quality and super sturdy. I just wish it had a provision for a MagSafe charger to go into the holder.

It looks like the Offroam mount is back in stock, and they do now have three mount options: clamp, magsafe non-charging, and magsafe charging. if you want to add the magsafe charging version to your mount:

That looks like the same 3D printed mount I got, different ring. Mine went on without breaking but that's exactly the kind of thing I worry about with 3D printed parts, if they use the wrong material they can be super brittle.

I like the concept but I haven't had any luck with any 3D printed parts that have any stress placed on them. Everything has broken on me, a friend who is somewhat knowledgeable, told me it's all in the type of filament and solid vs hollow printing.

I'm thinking of fabricating a "like" mount milled out of aluminum and adding a "magsafe" mount that another member used. The mount will have to be modified as in it's current configuration, it's a stick on. I purchased one and can attest, it's a very powerful magnet.

It's not cheap but the Offroam mount is aluminum and clamps to the dash in a similar way to the Axis 3d printed mount. The base has a 20mm ball, along with the arm or just getting other compatible parts, there are a lot of options for adding stuff to a 20mm ball. I don't have one (yet) but they seem to get good reviews. I'm planning to get one after seeing the failure mode of the 3D printed Axis mount above.

The base has a 20mm ball, along with the arm or just getting other compatible parts, there are a lot of options for adding stuff to a 20mm ball. Thanks for the link....... I can machine one out of some scrap alum for free.99 and I'm not planning to use a ball, I'm looking to keep it close to the dash as possible. It may end up getting a ball but too many other projects halfway done as it is.........LOL

Wish I had access to a machine shop. We had one at work but they closed it for "safety" reasons. And gave us a 3D printer...

This cable turns out to be about the perfect length for a phone in a holder like the Offroam and stays out of the way. If you use a magnetic holder and an iPhone, this might just barely be strong enough to turn your phone though. Mine stays put in a case but will rotate if it's out of the case.

Is there a 1" ball option? 20mm doesn't seem like a good option when everyone else is running 1" for compatibility's sake.

With the 1958, I took advantage of the bezel space around the smaller infotainment screen and mounted my phone there... I used this mount which has worked quite well, and along with the coiled cable (which I prefer to use for reliable Android Auto), it looks quite nice, IMO.

I really don’t need access to the phone with CarPlay but the problem is the lack of signal in some areas when the phone is in the wireless charger. I’d subscribe to AT&T and use the in-car WiFi, but I’m a Verizon customer; AT&T wants $25/mo so that’s a non-starter. Offroam, with the articulating arm seems like the way to go.

If you're using the arm I'm sure you could get a 20mm to 1" double ball for the end?

I'm still really loving mine. I'm using the OffRoam magnetic mount now. The other one I have (the original kind Sticker Fab was shipping with their mount) is probably stronger but I haven't had any issues with this one.

Another vote for OffRoam. I can’t imagine it being better. I got an 18” USBC cord and ran it below the HVAC controls with rubber clips, then up the side, around start button to where it plugs into phone with no slack. Works great and the magnet is super strong.

If you also add something like this to the cable setup, it helps clean up the organization. Though I have just used it with the power outlets instead of dealing with the multimedia connection.

I purchased an Offroam mount after reading this thread. This is the best fitting mount I have ever had, built like a tank what a great product!!!
