It doesn't take 18 minutes to stop for gas #1 5-7min is typical) and #2 I make it to the mountain all the time without stopping because I get 21mpg........(20.87 to be precise seems to be the magic number thus far.......last winter, with snows) I have gotten 21+ towards spring, probably as vehicle has continued to break in.

And behold the power of not stopping your fill at first click but using the EPA fill techniques.....I never fill it and leave it....but making sure I am properly filled makes all the difference in the world. And I have tested the range left......It is parked in Maine presently and was driven ~50 miles after last fill up, so the charcoal canisters are not becoming saturated........
