The tape on mine was legit auto 3m tape. Seemed to be in the all the correct places too. I did clean everything with iso first and used a heat-gun, lightly, on both the tape side and the actual bumper prior to install. Press and held for about 30 seconds, all around the panel. No issues with adhesion.Input a pair of the eBay ones on our 1958. First thing I noticed was poor adhesive placement and bonding. Removed them, went to ACE and bought some of the one inch wide gorilla tape. Cleaned the backs of them really well with isopropyl alcohol and put tape on. Cleaned the Land Cruiser plastic with the IPA, let it flash off for 5 minutes and stuck em on.
We done about 3500 miles in high winds, hard rain downpours, snow storms, sleet and ice and currently in 10 degree weather.
They are holding up very well. Only issue is they have gotten stone chips on them from the gravel laid down on the snowy/icy roads. The rest of the Land Cruiser doesn’t have any stone chips, but these do. My thoughts are I will just replace them, I could try to touch them up also or repaint but honestly for the price. Pulling them off and replacing them
Might be the way to go and next time add PPF to them to keep them from chipping.
Where does the sensor mount on those?
How was reinstalling the sensors on and how did you get all white sensorsI spent a bit more and had my bodyshop painted mine.

According to bodyshop they painted over the sensors since the sensors are not like cameras so its okay to cover them with layer of paint. How was reinstalling the sensors on and how did you get all white sensors
Wow! That is coolAccording to bodyshop they painted over the sensors since the sensors are not like cameras so its okay to cover them with layer of paint.
And its been no issue with the sensors whatsoever afterwards, still works like when I first got the car.
20K miles in, Mine are fine but put some PPF on them or they will chip. I posted that above also, but I have yet to replace them. Although these are the only things that have rock chips. For the money I’ll just replace them at some point but I’ll clear POF them first. Can’t even tell they are stick on other than the sensor being black and you can paint that if you want. I did not just in case I ever want to go back the black ones. Can any of the earlier posters chime in at this point im time with how well these are holding up? (Ebay stick on covers) wondering about the paint chipping or from adhesive failures?!
Thanks!
