Oil report results

3,367 miles on this oil change, the silicon has come down, will continue at 3K miles on oil change.
Listening to the car care nut and retired Toyota Engine Engineer, not to let Turbo Engines go past 3K miles/6 months on oil change, whichever comes first. But to each his own.

I was always told that about turbo engines that were run hot n hard...and that was before the Synthetic era. Our call, but I personally don't eee many folks pushing 3k....5K seems fine. Car care nut seems to be a pessemistic guy about everything......I put far more faith in Motor Oil Geek .......he backs up the anecdotes with data.

I think Car Care Nut is probably spot on. He has significantly greater experience than I do in this area, so I pay attention to what he says. He’s likely not right about everything, but sometimes wisdom is simply being quiet and reflecting on what those with more experience have to say.

Show me the data.......that has always been my thought process.
I think we all agree 10K dumb, 7500 miles if its a frequent highway hauler for hours at a time (the events that thoroughly heat motor and filter the oil0, 5k the gold standard revisited, 3K...dino oil,,,,,notice no one size fits all there either. A major flaw in CCNs thoughts. I won't go into details but 3K in 6months doing local errands....in traffic is way different than long distance trips and subsequent storage in a climate controlled garage. Anything over a 100 mile trip has given the oil plenty of time to burn off any moisture etc......believe what you wish, he is a story teller till he shows DATA.
I honestly watched a few of his You Tube videos and had to stop..........seems he NEVER said anything positive......and his titles are pure click bait...just my analytical side.....

Hopefully your wear per 1000 miles will keep coming down as well. Miss Daisy’s did..

I’ve been doing oil changes every ~5,000 miles, but I guess I should do it every 3,000 miles.. 🤔😏

I cannot disagree with that. However, I actually do think he has/had knowledge and experience I can benefit from. But there's no doubt that at some point he succumbed to social media and it's cheap, click-bait style to earn a buck.

Just changed from Redline to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, did 500 miles on 2 oil changes to get rid of the redline in the system, then let it go close to 3k miles. The first on the list is the Virgin sample of Pennzoil then the 3K or so changes.
Got my Oil Analysis back
