My understanding is you just pop out the old light cover and put this one in without doing anything else. There is a video with the link I think

If it has not been stated, they provide a hard plastic credit card size “tool” that you slip in to release the latch holding the light in place. Note, there are two plug in options! Use the one on top. I did not notice right away.
