Need thread for general gripes and complaints - The rear glass!! Although I love it and use it all time....

I thought, we need a place to post our little gripes about our 250's. Things that are mostly related to the new technologies most of us are learning.

So today I went to the grocery store. Used glass to put groceries in the rear. Got on the highway for 15 minute trip home and indicator light shows up saying the glass is open. It's closed but I guess I didn't slam hard enough to fully lock. Well then the beeping starts....and it doesn't stop! I keep hitting the "back" button on steering wheel to acknowledge I have seen and recognize, and please stop beeping! No luck. Didn't want to pull over to shut it so drove all the way home, cranking music trying to drown the sound. But I wouldn't give up that glass - I use it all the time. The beeping of the full lift rear gate is enough to make me love the glass

Mine is the FCTA that I turn off most of the time when I’m driving as it beeps and stops me from pulling out of driveways that it seems I’m too close to hitting another car. Most everything else as in safety I can live with or deal with. This sensor also don’t allow you to put an aftermarket bumper on as the calibration won’t work going through the metal. Gripe done.

My gripe is the map is cellular based. I’m not subscribing to it because of this. I’d even be willing to pay if it was in the memory and updated continuously while in cellular range and once out it relies on the latest updated information.

Mine is more of a sin on Toyota's part. The hvac "automatic" temperature regulation is dysfunctional. On our 1700 mile trip home it kept me alert at least, even if i could only afford one hand on the wheel.

I like my vehicle. I enjoy driving it and always smile when walking past it in the garage. I've owned a lot of different vehicles throughout time, some more enjoyable than others. If I didn't like the LC it would have been long gone by now. There are things that could have been done differently, but it's a good vehicle, and as long as I enjoy, it will reside in the garage.

I will get around to starting a post about this, but is Toyota Digital Key a straight-up lie? This is the functionality of using your phone like a fob for, when in proximity, unlocking, locking, and starting the LC. I've had it work flawlessly for as much as two weeks, but it never lasts.

I know they say always have a back-up, but I'm sure not paying $10-15 per month if it usually doesn't work.

I experienced the rear glass acting up a few times. It is very harsh. Wants to stay tough.

Agree 100%. I'm 2 years in and cannot think of anything I would rather have, all things considered. But still there are these small things that make this LC interesting.....
