LOL, who said they cheaped out on the studs? The OEM studs are fine on OEM wheels, why would Toyota put longer studs on when their OEM lug nuts have more than enough thread engagement? You only need longer studs if you're running aftermarket wheels.

Why wouid aftermarket wheels be any thicker than Toyota OEM wheels when they are lighter? Imo longer studs are for those who have experienced lug nut and/or wheel loss due to bad Toyota studs or are running spacers

If anyone is using the OEM lugs on an aftermarket wheel that uses a different shape - well I can’t really help that level of ignorance. Gotta get nuts that match the wheel of course.
FYI i bought a set of the Hub Rings, after pulling a wheel of i realized that my 703's have the correct Hub Bore 95.25.

Nice! Yeah the HD version has an option for the correct hub size. Unfortunately the non-HD 703s don’t.
