2025 LC250
I live in a town of about 350k people. Just in daily driving, seems like I see 2-4 new GX’s every day, but probably don’t see 1-2 LC’s a week. Is the new GX outselling the LC or is this just an anomaly in my small sample or my area in general ? We do have a Toyota plant 25 miles away and lots of the execs are on the company lease plan etc., so we do see tons of their higher end vehicles around here. There must be 25 older style GX’s in my neighborhood alone. I must see 20 Tundra TRD Pros a day as well. Just a curious observation…

Could just be where you live. Nationally, LC sold about 15k units in Q125 and the GX about 9k units. GX also seems much harder to get than a LC (unless you want LCLC) - waiting list and all on the GX. In my area (Ann Arbor MI), there are 2 GXs and about 6 LCs that I regularly see. I prefer the LC personally, but GX is good looking and always catches my eye, Almost seems like a shame if there were too many around. Used to work for Jim Beam and spend a lot of time in KY - go Cats.

Go Cats! Yeah I knew the GX definitely had a wait. Have a friend that is in the Exec pool at the plant and he waited over 3 months to get his GX. Had to wait 2 weeks after it got to dealer for him to be able to pick it up. They catch my eye, but like you, I feel like the LC is just a better looking “truck”.

I went on a 300 mile road trip a few days ago and saw like 3 Lexus and one Land Cruiser on the Interstate. I think it's the name. Saw you Croc hunt last night great hunt. What caliber did you use.

I see more GX's than LC's (24-25), but I am starting to see more LC's now. The funny thing about it is that we don't have a Lexus dealership in town, I also found Lexus extremely difficult to deal with to get a GX. Also, virtually all the GX's I see around are Incognito (my neighbor has one) or black (my insurance guy has one).

Another point I have noticed. Every GX (24-25) I have seen, with the exception of one, is driven by a female. Every LC I have seen, with the exception of two, is driven by a male.

*I was originally after a GX, but the dealers really turned me off with their inability to give me any sort of delivery date, I really didn't want Lexus badging, and I ended up liking the Land Cruiser a lot more.

Thanks. It was some awesome footage. I haven’t seen the finished show yet. Guess I should watch it.

We were also intent on the GX OT but after working with 4 lexus dealers i realized Lexus didnt want my business. All they wanted from me was a nonrefundable deposit and wouldn't give me any ETA or answer any questions regarding wait times or colors. When pushed, one dealer said to expect 6months to a year. We promptly ordered a LC and i'm happier for it. There's a reason the lexus dealers around here have 3 stars.

I don’t think your experience is limited to your area. When I was cross-shopping between the GX and LC, I called maybe five Lexus dealers between western NY to Albany and all had zero GXs available and required a deposit with a 3 month wait time. At my local Toyota dealer, I got lucky with my LC/LC trim - person put a dep down, LC shipped, and the person backed out. I got in at the right time and bought it. Otherwise it was a 1958 or wait a few weeks for a LC/LC trim or wait who knows how long for a GX

I see way more GX550's than LC250's. Total around here ive seen 4 LC's, but I know of at least 5 550's in the area I constantly see and every once in a while I see one while driving.

I work at the Kentucky Plant. I see a few GXs here but not many. There are plenty of LC250s here that I’ve seen. The employees get a decent discount on them.

I work and live on the north side of the city you're talking about (Lexington, KY) and I routinely run into about an equal amount of both. My commute to work is only about 3 miles on one stretch of road so I don't see a lot of cars in general during the work week, but on the weekends running errands with my family I bet I usually see 3-4 other LC's and 3-4 GX's. Funnily enough, my daughter is in a gymnastics class on Saturday mornings and there are always 2 GX's parked at the same gymnastics place, and last Saturday we passed 3 other LC's coming back from the gymnastics class.

Obligatory GO CATS!

Ive seen the same thing down here in phoenix metro. Although in the last 1-2 months ive started seeing way more LC’s.

They wanted $4k with no ETA, none ever said it wasn't refundable. I didn't want a cool box or sunroof, which they all seem to come with.

My "guess" with there being more GX's vs LC's is Toyota churning out the 1958's, which were not selling here, vs the base/premium, I think Toyota has changed that, while Lexus was turning out the GX550 and they all look the same, mostly. I have nothing to back this up.

But, there were two 1958's and one FE that I saw in town, I drive a good bit. Now recently, I see a lot of square headlight LCs. Again, I don't know official sales numbers or anything like that.
