Issues with door locks and mirror auto fold- related to Remote Connect service cancellation?

In middile east we have Toyota connect and that does not allow us to lock via app only remote start is available

I think Carista is an aftermarket OBDII bi-directional scan tool which allows users to make changes certain settings in the vehicle.

Altel is another powerful diagnostic tool that will allow you to make changes and run diagnostic procedures. It's my tool of choice. It's a bit pricey tho' Harbor Freight also has a tool, but I've only heard and read about but do not own.

Autel is a great bi-directional scan tool, I use one of their competitors, Top Don (which licenses the Launch software) which also makes great bi-directional scan tools, it is also pricey, but imho for what you get both Autel and Top Don are worth the money, considering what Snap-On charges for their scan tool and software updates.

The Harbor Freight Icon T10 uses the Launch software (which Top Don also uses) but with the added benefit of coming with an included 2 year subscription to Identifix Code Assist which provides code descriptions and posts by mechanics as to what they did to fix certain codes in certain vehicles.

Update of my update - everything is back to normal and working as new. It seems like whatever bug was in the door lock sensor loop has sorted itself out. Fingers crossed it doesn't return!

My rear pass door lock stopped working via electrical means, going to pull the panel and hope I find a wonky connector, as I had them off for the sound deadening install.

i know. mine got changed somehow and by luck I learned about the auto setting. Few things are intuitive on the dash settings. More human factors engineering courtesy of Toyota.
