How many Northern California folks do we have here?

I just got to as close to as a reliable Toyota opinion as we will find in the US.
The air dam is for optimum MPG with street tires. None issue otherwise to remove. You may see a 1 mpg drop.
I do not want to post the resource, would not be fair.
A reliable experienced opinion.

Thanks for confirming! I'd say up to 1 mpg loss (probably negligible most of the time) is a worthy tradeoff for the additional clearance. I'm just glad the 250 series damn doesn't look as atrocious as the 6th gen 4r or 4g tacoma ones.

@Luigi (2yotas1fam) and I are both located in the south bay and area and would be more than happy to meet with you if you're ever in the area. I'm in the Milpitas / Fremont area the majority of the week. I don't think either of us have any plans to be up there anytime soon. We're both currently running the front bumper and winch. I can also shoot you some photos and answer any questions that you might have.

As far as the air dams, they're not need on either the 4g Tacoma, 6th gen 4r, or 250 series LC. I believe their sole purpose is to help Toyota report higher MPG numbers, and maybe to deflect some debris. There's a reason why many of these owners pull off the factory air dams as one of their first mods to these vehicles, and have reported no issues yet.
We should do a Bay Area LC250 meet soon! Would be cool to see everyone local, ask and answer any questions etc.

I am in Sunnyvale with a Traildust LC! It's awesome to have a NorCal thread.

Coming from only one other car, a Camry I had for 16 years, I am a total newbie to having an SUV and have never off-roaded, although we go hiking and camping. For Christmas, my husband got me a gift certificate for an off-roading class so I could learn all the techniques as well as functions in the car. And maybe finally understand all the words people throw around in this forum! I haven't scheduled it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

You are SO much cooler. I bet everyone wants to be you.
You are missing the point of the message; the event was canceled after the rules changed at the park. The event does not occur anymore, and it is a real shame because it was really fun. Always turned into a parts swap and meet up event. It was fun and centrally located for the entire state.

my apologies! can never really gauge deliver online. With that said, WHERE are these events? bc im sure many of us would like an opportunity.

Dear xxxxx xxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting the Toyota Brand Engagement Center.

We apologize for our delayed response and appreciate the opportunity to review your bumper question for your 2025 Toyotas Land Cruiser.

We’re sorry, but—other than Toyota Racing Development Parts and Accessories, —we don’t recommend or assist with modifying our vehicles from the original factory specifications. For our TRD Parts, we suggest the installation be completed by a Toyota Dealership.

Toyota's warranty covers repairs and adjustments needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship of any part supplied by Toyota. Modifications to your vehicle could affect the performance, safety or durability, and may violate government regulations. Non-Toyota parts, or any damage or failures resulting from their use, are not covered by any Toyota warranty.

To address your other questions regarding performance and the warranty for your 2025 Land Cruiser, we would refer you to the customer relations manager at your local Toyota dealer.

Each dealer has a customer relations manager, whose job is to resolve any sales or service issues that may arise. In the interest of customer satisfaction, we would like to contact the customer relations manager at your local Toyota dealer so that your air dam/bumper valance questions can be fully addressed.

If you’d like us to contact a Toyota dealer on your behalf and have them follow up with you directly, please reply to this comment and provide the 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) as well as the name of the Toyota dealer.

We conduct a great deal of research to gather our customers’ input. We do interviews, issue surveys, and convene focus groups. However, there’s no better source than a vehicle owner who takes time to share valid insight, so we truly thank you.

Please know, we have documented your experience here at Toyota National Headquarters. If you have any other questions, please contact us.

Sincerely,
Michael M.
