Hello all, interested in any info on upcoming LC 58 or LCLC and transitioning from family man suv

Have you compared the 2026 4R Limited with i-FORCE Max, full time 4WD and 3rd row seat? I think it is about $60K and has more flexibility on what feature/comforts you choose.
I havent test driven one yet, but spec wise it does tick most of the boxes, and price wise you are right...its exactly what im able to spend now and i pretty much get everything I need and want. The only creature comfort I see the LC has more than the 4Runner limited is the back seat climate controls, which my college/young adult kids use alot of....I just really like the look of the LC better but I guess I have a few more years yet where it cant all be about me.....the joys of being a Dad

At some point Toyota has to go after the high end market - they’d be mad not to, the margins in the luxury SUV segment are obvious.

Surprised they haven’t done it already and a model refresh is inevitable.

Throw in the withdrawal from net-zero and “drill baby drill” [not saying the CIC is wrong] and the US market alone is worthy of a V6 twin turbo. Guessing the Middle East would love it as well.

With the LC/Lexus GX they have the platform - they can do quality better than Mercedes/BMW.

Time will tell.

I mean Lexus is a luxury brand on par with Mercedes/BMW, and already dominate that market.

I know how you feel because I just made the move for the looks and capabilities of the LC over the utility and highway comfort of a 3 row. In my case I went for the premium LC replacing a Kia Telluride. The Telluride is very comfortable and has really usable 3rd row (I had 2nd row captains chairs). I have 2 kids in college and a sophomore in high school, so I definitely miss the seating capacity. But 99% of the time I don’t need the extra seats and the premium LC has just enough luxury that I don’t feel I’ve compromised. The sensible and smart thing for me was to get another 3 row. But I wanted something that I felt strongly about rather than something that was sensible. I was considering an X5 or a Q7 and both drove better on the highway than the LC. The X5 in particular was much more agile at high speed. Ultimately, I chose the LC because it was just much cooler. My wife says that it is my mid-life crisis. That may be true but there are way worse things/decisions out there. Good luck on your decision, I know how hard it is. If you spreadsheet the pros and cons, you will end up with another 3 row. But you sound like you are ready for a change.
