H6 battery is the replacement for the fit on the TLC ??

The discussion on the threads of battery issues. Leads to some reco's for the H6 sizing to fit the rather tight spot in the back for replacing the stock unit...
There are a world of different types of batteries to choose from. Even in the H6 style. Lead Acid, the old standard. Gel types, and some new gen things on and under the radar like Iron development research types.
So the questions for the failed battery TLC users are... For any # of users.
-Have you found a good replacement to recommend?
-Have you upsized to a larger battery then the H6 as a better upgrade? How did you fit it in??
-Have you done a gel type with any success and reco's?
-If your stock OEM battery failed in the warrantee period. What success in a free replacement?
Lots of questions, but many are asking for ideas on this topic.

I just picked up an Optima DH6 yellow top. I think it’s the same one @EOD Guy went with. The one I have is 800CCA. It is an AGM, but not sure that matters for the LC. I did measure out the footprint and think I am going to be ok. Plan to tackle it tomorrow.

I have had zero issues with the OEM battery, but I am about to be gone for a few weeks at a time through the Fall/Winter this year and figured a little bit of preventative measure couldn’t hurt. Hopefully all of my worries can be focused on pre-staging my fantasy roster and not on having the wife taking the LC out periodically to cycle the trons.

Don't forget LIFePO4 H6 batteries too. May or may not catch on before solid state capacitors, but there are a couple commercially available now. There are some reviews on YouTube for overland/off-road uses.

It's a direct fit. It's a buger to wiggle in there, but it fits. Don't even try and leave the cage/hold down bracket on........LOL.
