GX550 Overtrail Wheels/Tires on Meteor Shower Land Cruiser

This is the part number for the ones I have, PT280-35221-5F, and they all went on.

I'm curious what they are hitting behind the cap for you, because obviously all the wheel centers are the same size.

I'll will attach some photos here.

But my rear hubs clear the back of the caps no problem, its the fronts that have this portrusion that prevents the new bronze caps from snapping in.

Someone at my office has a GX550 Overtrail, and I really liked the look of the wheels/tires. We had the Toyo AT3s on our previous 4runner and really liked them. I wanted to stick to stock size tires for weight, spare tire, and no worries about rubbing. The Land Cruiser will see difficult forest roads at worst, so they'll be great. I found a set of 4 on facebook and got them for 1100 without tire pressure sensors.

The stock 18" wheel/tire weighed 67lbs on my scale, and the Overtrail wheel/tire weighed 70.4, so that's pretty good. The thing that surprised me was the center caps actually fit. I'm really happy how it all came out.

That looks really good. I have been looking for a set of take-off Overtrail wheels locally. They are expensive through the Lexus parts counter- you have done well.

Have you just tried rotating the caps to avoid what I'm guessing is some sort of cap for the bearing assembly?

I tried. There wasnt a way to rotate them or reposition them in a way that they wouldve fit. The only way I could see the caps actually fitting would be to cut out the middle of the cap where the plastic "belly" is but I just decided to return them.

In my last response I missed that you replied with the part number (somehow lol). The parts you have are a different #.

My part numbers were PT998-35221-5F where yours are PT280-35221-5F....
Your caps are also $10 more than what I was trying out.

I've got them on mine. The overtrail wheels and stock Toyos on my 1958 in Meteor shower. Better mileage than the stock wheels, but I had LT winters on them so hard to compare. They look good IMHO. I just spray painted the caps
