Wish I had LC for my ride from CT to ME on Wednesday night. The 300 miles of light rain was no biggie, but the temp drop and transition to freezing rain, then frozen roads etc with 1/2 inch of ice buildup on the wipers were a test. When I got off 95 and was heading up to mountain, went thru periods of glazed surface, salty slush and all sorts of greased lightening. When it switched to snow, the biggest issue was the frozen tar from the earlier freezing rain. In was bad enough that going down hills, even a light touch of brakes resulted in immediate ABS engagement. I suspect studs would have been a benefit. I certainly WOULD NOT have wanted the harder rubber of an AT tire! Wierdest section was a slushy left side in center of road, and right side being on bulletproof freezing rain glaze. I have Michelin X Ice 3s on both vehicles......the Stelvio Quad is basically a 575hp rally car on the raods right down to being very lively and desiring rotation on every curve so the fronts can power out.....LC would have been much more relaxing esp with the center diff locked....First time in quite a while I had seen 18wheelers stranded on the icy hills.

I am 100% certain the thread author is upset about something.
I'm 100% certain 98% of the threads on here are useless topics that seem to get repeated over and over. There is some comedy involved sometimes but otherwise a lot of click bait or repeat/rehashed BS!
Based on my index, every Jaguar, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Range Rover, etc I have owned have been highly reliable....ironically, the main issues issues I have had with ANY vehicle have all been of german origin. 2 ZF tranny flaws, and one arrogant german car company (3 letters) that refused to admit MAJOR mechanical flaws were worthy of a recall till a 6 year battle was revealed.
1. 1993 Alfa 164L....was awesome. Only issue were the ZF tranny seals at 60k....all the Audis and Saabs of that era had same issue.
2. 2015 RR Evoque. ZF 9 speed was a nightmare.. All the Acuras, Jeeps etc of that era had same programming issues.
3. BMW X5 2011 x5D. DEF tanks all failed . Prop shafts could fx and be sent thru floorboards!!!!! and the pricks refused the recalls till a 6year fight.
Point is, Toyota is no where near as much of a problem in the big picture and worker harder than most to make things right.
